It's a dodgy situation TBH. In a perfect world there would be an allowance in the rules for them both to go to the tribunal in a single hearing, the three ex players to hear from everyone and their dog, and then decisions would be made on both of them.

On second thought, in a perfect world it never would have happened in the first place ><

He'll be found guilty...we know the MRP/Tribunal attitude to NMFC.

Then what, we bring Maj in?

Looking forward to the opinion pieces when that happens.

I like it. Our worst case is losing Drew against the Saints vs. the alternative of losing him for any game coming up for a minor indescretion.

I know any team can win any game in the modern era but do we really want to be back here in a weeks time complaining 'if only we had Drew!'.

If he fails, he misses the St Kilda match. If we can't win that game without him, we don't deserve to be playing finals. Good move to challenge, I think.
its not just about missing st kilda, he JUST finding some form, he cant miss out, I would have taken the reprimand.

If my knowledge serves me right, if he does happen to miss, it will mean that he has very few carry over points so we won't have to worry when it comes to September. It's essentially a win/win situation as long as the rest of the club stands up and we beat St Kilda. Petrie loves playing Carlton anyway so I'm not worried about his form.

The thing is would the club be challenging if we were playing Hawthorn this, I don't think so. Too risky. And I worry that they are trying to fight this with the attitude if we lose well it's only st kilda.
Attitude sometimes may start at the top and reflect down.

If we had Hawthorn this week, I very much doubt we'd challenge. If we can't beat St Kilda without Petrie, we don't deserve to play finals. In saying that, I think Petrie will be let off.

If coaching panel have that attitude, then why shouldn't players have that attitude. Flirting with danger.

I don't think so, I think they are calling "bullshit" that a player can not defend himself, especially after he has ceased being involved and Lake has continued the choke.

But do you want him taking 95 carry over points and a loading into the final games or taking the pain now.
It's a case of win or less lose.
