Was the senior player that stepped up and led. Really really important that it happened that way, all stats and goals aside.
This is what we need to expect from the senior guys in the team while the kids find their way. Goldy likewise was huge, even though I'd like Vigo to get some games, Goldy provided that presence in the centre to help the kids while Pete did it forward.
Ideally Redman and McGrath would be providing it in the backline, we will see if that actually happens.

Huge game and has kept this all round game going with his follow up, his chase and just presence. Made one really bad blue at the end of the game but aside from that, great performance.

Shows that for some players it's really the mental side of things. He is one that needs that confidence flowing to feel like he's the man.
He is seemingly getting confidence from impacting around the ground now which is good, it makes his performances more even so even when he misses a goal or drops a mark he can nail a tackle or split a pack to keep involved.

Turned his form around big time. Was in danger of being left behind but now key player.

The way he is leading from the front is almost worthy of a leadership role. Seems to be relishing his senior status amongst our horror run of injuries.

If he keeps this form up he will give us a ruck conundrum. Confidence is such a weird beast. I am pleased I got it wrong and he is playing decent footy. Has his limitations but in form he is in the best few second ruck / forwards . Discussion for another thread but who do we want as number 1 ruck if Wright stays in form and nails the second ruck role ?

I’ve been pleased with Bryan’s improvement but is he even impacting games beyond holding up in the ruck and in the air?

Draper is miles in front or was the achilles injury may mean he’s never the same :(

Pete has been a good surprise when we consider how he went last year after injury and looking like shit during pre-season. Has been great since coming back in to the side.

Not going to lie. I had my doubts about him. The thing I like is he looks the most driven that I can remember and his all round game is looking better for me. I thought he was pretty competitive in the ruck and around the ground as well as forward. Setting a good example for the kids.

I think he has been given an unofficial leadership role because I see him sometimes just working his ass off and hoping those around him will follow that lead.

Keep plugging away Pete. If he can hold down second ruck and keep kicking a couple of goals then he is a valuable asset.

Be interesting to see what they do when Langford is back. Can’t play all 4 and you’re not dropping caddy and may.
Langford hasn't been playing any good all year, almost like he's playing injured.

Peter on the other hand sure has turned his form around and I can't see him getting dropped.

Guy is our leading goal kicker by a fair margin, despite missing the first month, is on track to reach 30 goals this year whilst averaging 10 hitouts a game, something only [PLAYERCARD]Kurt Tippett[/PLAYERCARD] and Luke Darcy have achieved in the 21st century, and yet people are ragging on the bloke. Genuinely bizarre

Don’t forget how bog average our F50 entries have been all year too. There’s not a lot more 2MP could be doing.

I would go as far as saying Langford hasn't been playing well since anzac day last year.
(Yes he has probably been carrying a couple of niggles, but thats even more reason for him not being in selected in the 23).

I would. May only be temporary but I’m not prepared to move any of Caddy, May or Wright to fit him back in with where things stand
I misread that and thought you were prepared to chop out in the ruck yourself ... was gonna give you massive kudos :)
