Hmmm this is a nice idea but it doesn't really work for me. Singing modern music with a classical inflection always sounds weird to my ears.

*The 747 was a pub/wedding musician before Covid and plays lots of Paul Kelly songs

This is a very rare clip (from 8.3.87, probably in an inner-city Melbourne pub) of Paul Kelly & The Coloured Girls, singing "Leaps & Bounds".

The arrangement is slightly different to the recording that was on their official 1986 music video (above the Punt Rd silos).

Kelly looks a bit heavier, & healthier here, cf his early appearances in his late 70's videos..
