Of that 34, spent time with 25 of them in the decade itself.

J Lo's singles between '99 and the mid 00s have aged a lot better than might have been thought at the time.

But yeah, pop music by the end of the 2000s was awful, I mostly tuned out once Boom Boom Pow, I Gotta Feeling, Sexy Bitch and Tik Tok came along, didn't really regather an interest in chart music until around the time of Happy and Uptown Funk (I've never heard Blurred Lines or seen the Gangnam Style video other than the inescapable snippets). So the Gaga reign, early days of Beiber, Mars, Swift, etc. was all peripheral.

But even around 2004 the charts started to slide.

Some great tracks in here!

Didn't get my first job until 2001 and went crazy with buying albums through the early to mid 2000's. It got to the point I bought this album based on the cover art alone.

I did not make that mistake twice. What a shocker.

Mind you I did later walk into a Sanity and say to the checkout girl 'Can I please pre-order the new Ashlee Simpson?' so maybe I didn't learn that much.

A few years ago my house got burgled. The robbers didn't get all my stuff, but they did take an entire shelf of CD's EXCEPT for my copy of Youth And Young Manhood by Kings of Leon. Just left it on the shelf by itself. I was p*ssed off about being burgled, but maybe more so that they had gotten all judgey about my record collection.

Joke was on them though; it was and still is a cracking album, meanwhile they stole my copies of D12, Hot Action Cop, The Androids albums and god knows what else. Try fencing those coasters, jerks

God The Vines ruled!

Still watch this live clip from time to time, hilarious stuff :drunk:
