Having watched some practise matches and magoo games, I reckon everyone of our draft picks will debut this year, which would be a top result.
You generally hope to find 1 or 2 long term players in the draft each year, but I think everyone of these guys is going to make it.
Pratt is the darkhorse. He is going to suprise a few people.
Hopefully Rocca, Harris and another can play 16+ games for us this year, but I think the true quality of this group will be realised in 2 years time.

It is definitely the most impressive group of draft picks that I can remember.

Add 2nd year player L.Smith to that group and we have alot to work with in the future.

But it's all about being patient and playing them when they are ready. You can't just introduce them all at once. I supose thats why L.Smith hasn't been given a run yet.

The only new players that have been disappointing are Sinclair and McLaren
Ricky O was a long shot but he cost nothing and he still might be useful.

McLaren has just vanished in senior games and Sinclairs disposal skills are terrible. The roos have a nack of drafting the only left footers that are bad kicks. It is interesting to remember when the Bell deal was happening, the roos were very keen on Black instead of Sinclair. Going by Blacks form this year the roos knew very well who to go for. In hindsight we should have given them Bell and Capuano for Black.

or we could have given them c mckernan

with him in the equation as well, we could have recruited d smith, d motlop, h black and perhaps another player.

I agree that Black should have been the player we went after but I think Freo were playing very hard ball with him. Clement and Holland have looked useful and may have been handy for us too. Water under the bridge now though. I've been following the fortunes of a player for the Northern Knights,Shane Harvey, brother of Brent. There was a little article on him around draft time last year but he wasn't selected. He's kicked 6,5 and 2 goals in his three games and is an onballer like his brother. Worth keeping an eye on.
