Who from the first round of the has had the best career thus far?

Best career probably goes to Mackie due to his 2 flags. As a player difficult to split McIntosh and Goddard.
If i had to pick one to play for the FFC next year due to needs i'd take Goddard.

I would say there careers thus far i have the rated this way:

They have been around for a while now but I think we should still see a lot of improvement from some of those guys. A good run with injury would be handy for a few.

Based on a combination of proven performance as well as importance to team, I've gone like this:

1. McIntosh
2. Goddard
3. McVeigh
4. Mackie
5. Brennan
6. Winderlich
7. Wells
8. Schammer
9. Salopek


I think McIntosh has been and will be in the top 2-5 ruckman in the league. He's more valuable than Goddard. Take away '09 and McVeigh would be #2. Mackie has done reasonably well in an outstanding team.

From there it's fairly even.

Goddard easily, the only player in that list I consider right now to be elite (Mackie is overrated and I think Hamish Mcintosh is borderline elite)

It's so dissapointing to see that Wells never lived up to his amazing potential, or perhaps he was just over-hyped to begin with before that draft.
