Our top 12-15 players went toe for toe with Brisbane and were outstanding, but the few that failed to deliver basically cost us the Premiership - Molloy, Davis, Davis, Freeborn, and 1-2 others. I'd put Tarrant in that category too for failing to kick goals when it counted, although he played well enough around the ground. Licuria was also poor on the day.
They were better than us and had more depth out on the ground. They had maybe 1-2 passengers - we had 5-6. That was the difference along with the fact that we couldnt match it in the ruck.
you idiot sheehan said:Peope say that the Rocca point decision cost us. I disagree on this because Fraser goaled very soon after. What definitely cost us the game was when Tarrant wasn't paid the free-kick 20 metres out from goal for what was a clear over the shoulder. This would have put us 9 points up and I think we would have gone on from there. To cap it all off, the ball went down their end and Lynch was given one of the softest free kicks of all time given the circumstances. It surprised me that more wasn't made of these two decisions at the time.
Disagreed, I promise on my life for once i am not being biased Collingwood were robbed, there were two '2 goal turn-arounds' in the last qtr alone that went against Collingwood.NICK THE PIE MAN said:I've watched the replay a few times and disagree that we deserved to win "by three goals."

1, Rocca's shot went in, went opposite side of the ground and Brisbane goaled.
2, Tarrant deserved a free kick 10-15 metres out (Both Walls & Blight said DIRECTLY it was a free kick) went opposite side of the ground and Lynch goaled.
Those were just two examples, although Blacks goal should've been allowed because Power didn't throw it, Tarrant's shot wasn't touched and there were numerous other shots on goal & free kicks that didn't go Collingwood's way.
Might I mention Fraser's performance that game made me very eager to see how he performs this year up in the forward line.
Agreed, Burns played his hardest that game, he also did some damage to Brown for about 10 seconds too lol but he played a very hard game and he helped alot more then people think, he kicked a great goal aswellhotpie said:The Simon Black goal hurt us a lot. Scotty Burns laid one of the best hip and shoulders I've seen (on Voss) , and it would have meant the end of a mere mortal. But somehow Voss managed to recover, scramble on his knees and find the ball and then put out a bullet handball to Black who goaled in heavy traffic. It was the killer blow.

you idiot sheehan said:. On that second incident, why didn't Buckley just run an extra five metres and have a shot?
