O.K here are the standings after this week’s games. 3 overtime games and the Cowboys getting butt-whipped by an expansion team. Not to mention the crazy play at the end of the KC v Cleveland game with the Browns player taking his helmet off and throwing it at the end of the game in celebration - only to be being flagged for removing his helmet whilst still on the playing arena. KC kick the field goal from the ensuing 15 yard penalty (which got them into field goal range) to win it with no time left on the clock . What a sensational opening round!!

What a crock that ruling is. On a par with the stupid rule that cost an Aussie relay team a gold medal a few years back for jumping in the pool before all other teams had touched, they didn't affect the running off the race, and that player taking his helmet off never affected the game, the play was over. (BTW, can you tell I took Cleveland last week? :D :p )
I'm kicking myself about not following my first instinct and not taking Houston first up, Hat. You must have been dirty on your mob.

Nope, same venue.

It used to be called 3Com Park, as well-- but to Bay Area natives such as myself, it will always be Candlestick Park. The new name, FWIW, reflects a change in naming rights when 3Com's contract expired at the end of last year.

The 49ers became the lone tenants at the facility when the Giants bolted for a downtown baseball stadium.

Yes, the KC - Cleveland game was one of the best I've ever watched. It was even better because we won. :D

Hippie, that's not a stupid rule. When I played High School football (just like Al Bundy) we weren't allowed to have our helmets off even on the practice field. A pro getting a couple of million bucks should know better. What's more, one of our players (Eric Hicks) was penalized earlier in the game for the same offense. You should have asked me earler, I would have told you to pick the Chiefs. ;)

Mooster Picks Week 2:

Chicago over Atlanta
Cleveland over Cincy
Tennessee over Dallas (Yes Hat, 0-2, sorry :( )
Indy over Miami (should be close)
KC over Jacksonville (Arrowhead Magic)
Green Bay over New Orleans
New England over NY Jets (the Jets aren't a bad upset pick if someone gives you points)
Carolina over Detroit
Baltimore over Tampa (This is my upset pick)
Seattle over Arizona
St. Louis over NY Giants
Buffalo over Minnesota
San Diego over Houston (I'll be barracking for Houston)
Denver over San Francisco (tough call)
Pittsburgh over Oakland (This could be a preview of the AFC Championship game)

Washington over Philly in - since this is an Oz board - "Tuesday Morning Football."

Ok I know ive said this already but the Pats are twice the team the Steelers are right now Mooster, who cares if it was only week one
And "Tuesday Morning Football" is awesome!!! Nothing like sitting in front of the Tv all day watching Countdown and TMF.
Of course 3am Monday mornings getting up to listen to the Colts on the net and then watching two live games after that is better.

...Ummmmmm yep it's fair to say that I'm filthy on them!! O-Line was a joke and Quincy Carter couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. I hope he gets better. Defense was o.k sacking Carr 6 times but they were going up against a makeshift O-line of the Texans and should have done better. Oh well..only the Titans this week. :D

X_box_X yes welcome aboard. It's isn't too late but what I will do is give you the worst score of last week (6) minus 1 so that means you start on 5.

Looks like you've set yourself a challenge to catch and overhaul the leaders. :D

Good luck. :)

That's pretty simple, but fairly stupid ...
I am a pretty big fan of the Redwings in the NHL, so I thought I would stay in Detroit
