What a suck weekend for my picks. I was watching the score updates all day. It was like Homer Simpson falling down stairs. D'oh! D'oh! D'oh! D'oh!

Well, we can't have that. I'm nailing it this week.

MOOSTER PICKS WEEK 8:

Buffalo
Tennessee
Seattle
KC (yup, I'm being serious)
Vikes (both teams are sucking ATM, but the Vikes are due)
New Orleans (how in the hell do they win?)
NYJ (I was undecided here, so I asked a bunch of girls. I figured if I picked all of 6 in Week 7, they may know something)
Tampa
Pittsburgh
San Fran
New England (this is the one that'll put me over)
Jacksonville
Indy

TMF Philly (this isn't even going to be interesting to watch) *

*As soon as I typed that I had a visualization of someone 'quoting' it next week and saying something like, "Mooster, you don't think a 52-51 Giants overtime victory is interesting to watch?" D'oh! ;)

Peace,

Tough ones this week, I'll be happy if I get more than half.

Buffalo
Cincinnati
Dallas
Oakland (Chiefs awfully tempting Mooster)
Chicago
Atlanta
NY Jets
Tampa Bay
Pittsburgh
San Francisco
New England
Houston
Washington
Philadelphia

Crappy game of the week: Tennessee vs. Cincinnati

LOCK OF THE WEEK: Nebraska to get absolutely pole-axed at Texas A&M.

Yeah, I know that's not an NFL pick, but I needed to vent.

IT'S RAIDER HATER WEEK IN KANSAS CITY

It's been a nice week of hating, drinking and more hating.

Red Friday begins in about six hours. Anyone in KC who follows football will wear red all day. Most work places (regardless of their usual dress codes) allow their employees to wear Chiefs jerseys and other gear. Then there is more hating. Those who don't follow football are in a miniscule minority, and it is a case where discrimination and disregard for the minority is well justified.

After the workday (this doesn't apply to me as I work nights and am off for the 3 day weekend) there is more drinking, and more hating.

Sometime during the day, the pathetic scum vermin Raiders fly into our city. They try to keep it a secret, but there's no hiding it. You can smell them, and there is an evil vibration like when Darth Vader makes an entrance or Hitler is shown in a film clip. The location of their hotel is kept secret too. I'm banking on the Adam's Mark. I will be hating them from that location until the police chase me off. After which I will be doing some more hating and drinking from a sports bar.

Saturday? More hating of the vile filthy Oakland Raiders with some camping out in the Arrowhead parking lot in case any of the leprous bastards show up to survey the field conditions. The worst insults and taunts will be hurled at them (take it slightly easy on Gannon) until, once again, the police chase us off. Then it's back to the sports bar for more drinking and more hating.

Sunday is indescribable. Hate is involved big.

For those of you who picked Oakland and aplogized. I appreciate the sentiment, but apoligize that I cannot accept the apology. It is too treacherous an act. Special considerations are being made for Hippie who seems to have a nice hippie rational for his choice. If it works, his apoligies are well taken. Once again, sorry to the rest of you. Any other week and I consider you all to be wonderful people. My hatred is simply too strong. Afterall....

IT'S RAIDER HATER WEEK IN KANSAS CITY

I hate them.

At least your guys' gameplan calls for "taking it easy on Rich Gannon", Mooster. Because if the Raiders have any chance in the world, and if there's any one player who can inspire the Raiders to beat the Chiefs, it's gotta be Gannon. :D

Other than that, I maintain what I PM'd you earlier in the week-- the way things have been going lately, we hardly have a chance in hell.

GO RAIDERS. Just win, baby (by any means possible, this week). :p

(Great post by the way, Mooster. I agree wholeheartedly with the legend of the rivalry as told from the perspective of your side. Wonderful tale.)

Cheers,
William

Same here...

I told you so, Mooster. I've been saying that we had no chance this week, and as much as I hate to admit it, I was right. :(

Any chance of someone (Hat?) posting the results on this thread at the end of this round? Too lazy to chack nfl.com...

Cheers,
William
