2003 Draft - worst ever ?

I look at Geelong taking Tenace and am disappointed initially. Then you look down and can't really blame them. A few nice pick ups late but apart from that really ordinary draft.

Call me when he actually manages to play in the AFL for more than half a season.

Played 11 games this year, was injured for the 1st half of the year, played a half at Bendigo and was straight into the team at a time when we were right in finals contention. He is not a player that is on the borderline, he is a regular best 22 player.

If we had got Mclean instead of Bradley that draft as i think we wanted we would've been laughing.

Plenty of chaff in amoungst the wheat. From a Dogs perspective, happy with Cooney and Ray's development, but at picks 1 and 4, you'd expect nothing less. Both will have long careers at the kennel.

Still some very good players picked up, even late in the draft.

Cooney still has a pretty big upside, he has totally dominated games of footy and on regular occaisions for a quarter. He needs to improve his fitness, so you could say he's lazy but it could have more to do with the OP he gets now and again, he didn't have a pre-season this year.

He also kicks quite a few goals.
I wouldn't trade cooney for anyone on that list.
