I know the Voss VS Buckley thread as cause me not to have many possitive few about me from collingwood supporters I expected that but it has really gotten people thinking about 2 super stars of the game.

But now lets see with a week to go before the first bounce to kick off 2003 season who they think will play in the 2003 Grand Final.

Possible St Kilda and Carlton?

This is Brisbanes last chance before they pass the Malthouse clock (Or the Daniher clock). If Brennon can fire up against Travis Jonstone in the grand final than Brisbane are a chane!

I may be being a mug, but I think West Coast have one of the best balanced sides in the competition.

Jakovich and McIntosh are still holding up in defense, with a couple of decent tall back ups.

Centre square: Gardiner, Kerr, Cousins, Judd

In the forward line you've got Troy Wilson, and they also seem to have enough other tall forwards that can play a role (Johnson, Staker, McDougall, Gaspar) to fill in the gaps.

Your flankers, pockets and secondary midfielders - Chick, Ph. Matera, Wirrpunda, Sampi, Collica, Green, Jones, Banfield, Hunter and Embley (and hopefully a revitalised Read and Braun) - could be worse. They're mostly competent. Hell, they've even got a decent back up ruckman in Cox.

I think West Coast are probably a lot less likely to be damaged by the injury of any one player than most sides, and could certainly cause a bit of trouble come finals time if they can jag a couple of away wins in the regular season.

I also believe most people under rate them - to come from where they were in 2001 (the judge years) to last year was a great effort.

They have a good list.

They concern is the back half with the ageing veterans - particularly jackovich - havent liked some of the signs i've seen from him in recent times.

Will also miss matera.

I think they also have the best young coach in the competition.

Could be a big year. 4th to 6th maybe imo.
