Brisbane vs Port.

It is very possible for two interstaters to play in the GF for whoever said that...Brisbane will most likely have a home preliminary final, and Port and Adelaide both have the ability to win at the MCG.

And obviously Squeeky baby thinks that is the case, seeing as though he ISNT A COLLINGWOOD MEMBER!!!!!!!

C'mon Squeek, get on board son! You might regret it come September.... ;)

(oh and kristin, you need not worry sweetie, North have my membership dollars already, like they always do)

I've really got to get over this talking-up-Collinwood thing i seem to have contracted!! :( :o

Can one of you Pies supporters (that means you dont have to worry about this Squeek, i said supporters, as in members, as in... you get the picture ;) ) tell me that my club is poor and will be dead soon and all the usual unoriginal, brainless dribble you and all the other teams' supporters come out with when North embarrass you just so i can feel that equilibrium of hate vs respect for you again please?!?!?!

I dunno, North are strong and proud, with a fine young coach and a smart experienced crew, top four I reckon. One good mozz deserves another;).

I like the cut of your jib son!

"Dark Horse Sydney"

We'll be better than most expect but a GF appearance in 2003???

I see that most people are predicting Brisbane vs. Adelaide.

And going on previous years where most people predicted the same thing before the start of the season, I would venture to suggest that you will all be...WRONG!!!

You have got to be joking.

Never before has Adelaide been an even modestly popular tip to make the GF in any year. Last year the popular tip for Adelaide was to come about 13th or 14th.

I think you may be thinking Port, not Adelaide, concerning last years tipping.

I think you completely missed their point

What he is saying is that most pre season predictions for who is going to play in the Grand Final are generally wrong...........nothing about Adelaide being favourites this time last year.........

Let him go. With so many people tipping the Crows for the Grand Final, ok.crows has one less thing to whinge about.

I don't think people (pre-season) would have tipped Sydney to make the '96 Grand Final, St.Kilda vs Adelaide in '97, North Melbourne vs Adelaide in '98, Carlton to have made it in '99, Melbourne to have made it in 2000, and Collingwood to have made it in 2002.

There are quite a few tips for a Brisbane vs Adelaide Grand Final, but recent history shows that the chances are that one of the favourites will make it with their opponents coming from out of nowhere.

The favourite tip seems to be any two out of Brisbane, Collingwood, and Adelaide, but I reckon that it will be an Adelaide vs Melbourne or Essendon Grand Final.

Yeah right. He would still whinge about:
1. Everybody's putting too much pressure on the Crows.
2. They have too much travel
3. Nobody likes Wayne Carey.
4. Even if they win the Premiership nobody would respect them.
5. Jason Cloke.

etc etc etc

That's exactly what I meant...

Hey, with the current strength of the interstate clubs coupled with the MCG contract, could we see a situation where the compulsory MCG prelim is played between two interstate sides, followed the next week by a Grand Final...between two interstate sides?

Seems a bit silly!

Well I'm quite happy that most are not predicting Port make it......mind you after our first final last year I can understand why.

I see the AFL are trying to negotiate on the Prelim MCG contract again but I doubt we will see a change.

As for your suggestion I'd say it's a very good chance of happening in the next 2-3 years.

I know what you meant, and I agree with what you are saying.

It is just that I find it absolutely flabergasting when some people get confused between Adelaide & Port.

It has even been suggested that Adelaide missed out on a home final (for the third time) because of poor attendance at home finals last year - when Adelaide didn't get any home finals last year! That was Port!

I bet fans would be hopping mad if there was a suggestion that Essendon or Pies missed out on something because of low attendance at a Melbourne or Kangaroos game! UNTHINKABLE - yet that is the exact equivalent situation as we have got here.

I can't wait until the first Crows supporter starts complaining about opposition fans booing Carey.

You could just choke on the irony!

You could perhaps choke on the irony if it happened, but at the very least you should wait for it to happen before you risk unnecessary suffocation :D.

The pervading attitude amongst Crows fans seems to be that no-one supports what carey did nor thinks he is a great guy or anything like it - but we do hope he can play some good footy for the club.

Attadale u14's v East Freo U14's

Oh you meant the AFL

Whichever team has a good run with injuries and a bit of luck with the whistle. Too many variables to guess at this stage....

Na that's weak and a copout. I'll say St Kilda and Freo because ........I like to cop abuse

Actually, quite a relevant bump, given that 2004 predictions are starting to float in.

Reading through this thread, I noticed that NO-ONE predicted a Brisbane vs. Collingwood GF, even though it was the GF the year before.

Shows that no-one can ever confidently predict the Grand Finalists until 5:30pm on the second-last Saturday in September
