CZ if you don't think Roughead is a proven player, then you must not think many Richmond players are proven either, which seems strange considering the positive light you like to shine on our list.

But you missed Roughead, Franklin and Lewis - 2008 Premiership players!
You will never live that draft down! Stuffed up more then Fiora ahead of Pavlich.
lol, your funny. i do think he is a proven player but he is yet to be proven as the no.1 forward. although i think he can make it as the no1 forward i was pointing out that he hasnt been proven as a no.1 forward. and saying that i would go deledio over roughead.CZ if you don't think Roughead is a proven player, then you must not think many Richmond players are proven either, which seems strange considering the positive light you like to shine on our list.
Such semantics. By that definition Bradshaw isn't a proven no.1 forward.lol, your funny. i do think he is a proven player but he is yet to be proven as the no.1 forward. although i think he can make it as the no1 forward i was pointing out that he hasnt been proven as a no.1 forward. and saying that i would go deledio over roughead.

bloody hell, that is not the point. so we just let a troll come on our board and say we stuffed up the draft. i would rather deledio than roughead and lewis. but saying that i would still want roughead to be at richmond. i hope he shows he is a strong ff that gets the ball kicked to him 80% of the time when they take the footy forward and kicks a ton of goals.Such semantics. Well he is right. We did very badly from the 2004 draft considering the picks we had. I'm not going to rip him simply because he is not a Richmond supporter. Hawthorn completely wiped the floor compared to us in the 2004 draft.bloody hell, that is not the point. so we just let a troll come on our board and say we stuffed up the draft. i would rather deledio than roughead and lewis. but saying that i would still want roughead to be at richmond. i hope he shows he is a strong ff that gets the ball kicked to him 80% of the time when they take the footy forward and kicks a ton of goals.

and as i said in a post below i was saying that i would take deledio before roughead. i do agree he is a good player and has proven himself to be able to play at afl. and buddy and williams are proply taking goals off of him.Well he is right. Yeah and I am saying kicking 75 goals in a season shows you are provenHow many forwards have achieved that sort of record and not had a good career?
Although he never kicked over 70 goals in a season, Whitnall played 216 games. How can you not call that a good career?Lance Whitnall
good to have you on my teamLance Whitnall
he had a good carrer but his final season and the fight with his brother ruined it.Although he never kicked over 70 goals in a season, Whitnall played 216 games. How can you not call that a good career?
I think Tivendale did bloody good to play 185 games. He should have been moved on earlier, but I'd call his career a success overall.Thing is Beave, if we were arguing over whether or not a 200 odd game Richmond player had had a good career, you would definitely find a way to argue against it.

Greg Tivendale played 185 games. Discuss.
I disagree. Tambling at his best can control the game by himself - see first quarter against W.C early in 2007. If he can play consistantly at that calibre he is better than Buddy. I don't regret 2004. Hawthorn couldn't have won the premiership with Buddy in the forward line - he may win games off his own boot but he loses as many as he wins. Notice that in the Grand Final he was playing up the field more, opening up the forwardline. All I'm saying is that Buddy is overrated and Bling isn't yet up to his full potential. These are my thoughts:Probably set us back a couple of years, along with the JON pick. Theres nothing we can do about it now, it all seemed sensible at the time. They just havent payed off and thats not entirely our fault. Although we should have drafted KPP first.
Apart from Deledio, our 2004 draft was pretty poor. It hurts in hindsight definatley.![]()
