The Pack & Titans have lost thier last three ...a great match up as neither team would want to be 1-4 after Week 5.

Ravens (2-2) travel a small way to play a Redskin (1-3) unit that is struggling to put up a winning score (18 HS). The Skins games have all been close so far.

AFC West Division leading Broncos (3-1) host Carolina (1-2) with Broncos winning both home games so far although the Black Cats have picked up thier only win this season on the road @ Arrowhead.

In form Division rivals Giants (3-1) travel to Dallas (2-1) in a game that Cowboys coach Parcells would be eager to beat the club he led to two SB Championships.

And really early at that, too. :)

Mind you, that's on Fox Sports 2 over here, by the way...

Re: NFL tipping week 5

Saints CHOKE AGAIN !! :D

Atlanta are Overated ! Detroit have been one of the worst road teams for most of the last 22 years and the Falcons at home can't beat them... F*** You M.Vick you poser !

Re: NFL tipping week 5

Not sure about the Saints choking, you need to be good to choke.

Atlanta were always going to struggle when forced to throw the ball. Detroit are a good team and will contend over the next few seasons. Forget the road history, that's history. Even though Williams went down, and Jones is still out, Detroit have plenty of young talent that's going to take them far.

Another o/s game by the Giants too. How can this be the same team that looked such a rabble last year? Barber not fumbling and Warner not throwing interceptions - in fact, mistake free football. Take note New Orleans what a change in coaching styles can do.

Big overtime wins to the Rams and the 49'ers keep the NFC West interesting too.

Thank god for the Chargers this week. At least one punt that paid off. Baltimore . . . . please, not to the Redskins . . . .

Bloody penalties crucified the cowboys. That late hit on the punter in the third quarter when we had them pinned on their own 10 yard line turned the game. I find it hilarious that we couldn't run the ball in the first three games yet we had no trouble against the giants yet our passing game was non existant.

Vinny couldnt handle the blitz and moves like a snail in the pocket, he could see the D coming but those old legs couldnt get him out of trouble. Have to admit that some terrible blocking by the right side of our offensive line didnt help. Its a shame we cant clone Big Flo and Larry Allen and play them on the other side.

Re: NFL tipping week 5

The roughing the kicker call was tough, but I don't think it was that call that cost the game.

Some dubious fourth down calls not only cost points, but the second one gave up critical field position. They were only 6 points down for christ sake!!

Parcells seemed to lack confidence in the defense. He either sent them a subconcious message or they were p.ssed off, because from that point onwards, the NY O-line just opend up the lanes for Barber. The Cowboys have been fantastic against the run all season, but lost it in the last 10 minutes. (BTW, Greg Ellis was an outstanding addition to my fantasy team this week. :D)

Agree with what you're saying with the O-Line. But I thought they started well, and only allowed a couple of sacks. It's not like they have a decent back to capitalise on their work either. And fair dinkum, would you protect Vinny? The guy's a squib, the first sign of a defensive lineman he craps himself. If I was a Cowboy offensive linesman, I'd let the occasional one past too. :D
