The 2005 Big Footy Collingwood MVP will be announced Saturday, September 3rd

Who will it be? The General James Clement would be the favourite, but consistent footy from Brodie Holland may give him the win, or could it be Nathan Buckley, who returned in awesome form for a great second half, when the side didn't only won one game.

Well done lf50.
Due to our poor year those numbers favor Buckley more than Jimmy. Buckley was the best in an otherwise poor seond half of the season (only one win), and the 5-4-3-2-1 format means that Buckley would get 5/4 votes for an ok game that would only be worth 1-2 votes in a better game.

It just shows how ******** our season was when a guy who played 11 games wins the MVP award
Yeah, sure does, but as P4L said, they are the leaders of the club. Atleast they stand up for us each week. :)

Bucks heads a long list of captains that deserved premiership success and never got it.

I am excited to think that we got ALL our bad luck this year and if injuries can be kept to at least a reasonable level Collingwood is more than a show next year.

The highlights for me and also the signs that next year has more promise than I think we dare to beleive:

Buckleys goal saving smother v South Melbourne in his come back game. 2 more years at least left.
Blake's 5 to smash the Hawks and General Jimmys efforts in defence (Presti had a shocker and James was always on hand to clean up)
That Taz mark against the Hand Baggers
Dids return and those special goals v Weagles and Hand Baggers
Harry O'brien
Chris Egan
Heath Shaw, lead by brother Rhyce
Ben Davies (He will settle eventually)
Dave Fanning (Tough way to start a rucking career, but the big plumber did it and look where he ended up)
Travis and those oversized feet.

Always look on the bright side, committment was not the issue this year (with a couple of exceptions) it has been structure and organisation and large amount of inexperience, all these things can be overcome, the plyer talent is there. eg. North on the ropes, 10 minutes left, where were the shut down gang? Bucks forward pocket? Burns HBF? and Lica? Something tells me we weren't supposed to win that one.

James for Copeland
James for Brownlow
James for god damn PRIME MINISTER (heez such a nice bloke too :) )
