For what it's worth (and it's not much because I can't tip games on a week by week basis let alone a ladder 11 months out) here's my tip for the 2005 ladder

St.Kilda - Class all over the place now with vital September experience
Port Adelaide - Francou offsets Carr, Primus back. Should go close again
Brisbane Lions - Don't write them off too soon. Still too much class to drop too far
Geelong - The only thing stopping them is their amazing ability to stuff things up.
West Coast - Underrated because we don't see them in Melbourne too much. A key forward short of Top 4.
Sydney - Strong in all positions but have to free up to get into Top 4.
Fremantle - Lots of young talent to put them back in but lack a key forward.
Kangaroos - Will sneak in provided someone stands up in the ruck. Young players to get better.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Essendon - Early days but have done stuff all in trading and only fell in this year.
Melbourne - Still too brittle physically and mentally. Neitz is the key. Need a good big defender.
Collingwood - Will go better but are rebuilding. Good year if some younger guys step up.
Carlton - Improvement this year but it came from older guys who won't be any better in 2005
Western Bulldogs - More competitive. Need younger guys to lift sooner or later.
Adelaide - No key position players and an old list with an untried coach.
Richmond - Wallace will help but has a lot of work to do on a rabble in 2004.
Hawthorn - All over the place. Where's the improvement gonna come from?

Port Adelaide

Collingwood
Geelong

what a surprise

a kangas supporter puts the Kangas in the 8

they are a bottom 4 candidate

Everyone ignore this thread
I put the Kangas for the Spoon. They are ********ed more the Richmond. And I dont often boast about Richmond being better than any other club.

Wtf are you on dude? The only stuff up I know between our clubs is that you couldnt get Brad Ottens to come to the Kangaroos. You staff stuffed up presuming he would go there.

St Kilda - Young hungry team with all the bits. Will go all the way
Port - Will be thereabouts again
Sydney - Swans are ready to step up after some list consolidation
Geelong - will again be top 4 and improving
West Coast - internal improvements of young list should = a few more wins
Brisbane - the slide has to come sooner or later, did not restock
Collingwood - will be keen to overcome horror 04
Fremantle - barring Connolly meltdown have enough talent to make the 8
Essendon - core players another older, on the decline.
Adelaide - rebuilding will capitalise on some home wins
Carlton - will improve marginally, need to play some kids for future success
Melbourne - sole reason for such a low ranking is their odd year curse
Bulldogs - Eade soldify the Dogs with some improvement of recent seasons
Kangaroos - shinboner spirit does not overcome lack of talent
Richmond - based on the Wallace factor will at least win more games than 04
Hawthorn - bottom of the barrell.

Get over it - he reckons you're not going to do that well next year - does that mean your not? No. Jesus posters like you ******** me off, because as soon as they say one bad thing about your club you go off. It is pathetic.

Robin Hood,

1) I reckon Geelong will be 4th. There are 12 clubs every year wishing they'd come 4th. 4th is good. Be happy.

2) What has Brad Ottens done in his career that Nathan Thompson hasn't done? Two players high on ability, low on output.

3) I genuinely believe the Roos are OK (Not as good as 4th though). Every year people put them last and are wrong. They ain't great but 8th is middle order. They are a middle order side

4) All of this is just my opinion. My opinion of you is that you are a moron.

Mick,

1) Thanks. Well put.

Cheers

1. Im happy with Geelong being 4th. It sure beats the spoon!

2. Ottens is better than Thompson and is only 24 years old.

3. The Roos are OK but they aren't great. They dont have much anywhere. They need to rebuild and getting Thompson only attempted to save Laidley's ass and was not the best thing for the club. Laidley will go after the Roos finish in the bottom four teams.

4. My opinion of you is biased and unreasonable.

Mr Hood,

1. Thanks. Well put.

Cheers.

Yeh your going to be screwed when they all retire within the next year or two.

Yep. Only Scotland and Stevens were greatly significant to Carlton's improvement. Both will be 25 next year - hardly youngsters

Karl Norman - 10 disposals per game in 2004
Andrew Walker - 9 disposals
Jarrad Waite - 8 disposals (only played 8 games! - not a key player yet)
Brad Fisher - 7 disposals
Justin Davies - 8 disposals

All very promising, not keys to Carlton's team in 2004. They're still on the rollercoaster. DeLuca and Thornton played every game and probably did more. A particularly like Thornton. Did some good jobs on some big names. I'll stick with Carlton just outside the 8.

Biased and unreasonable? Hence your objection to my comment about Geelong? Let's see who do you barrack for......Geelong!! And where are you from....Geelong!!!!! You assert that the Roos are just p****d off about not getting Ottens. And then you say I'M biased and unreasonable. You cretin. There are 41,485,579,776,000 possible ladder combinations and I've said my one. You disagree with it...fine - the odds weren't in my favour.

Actually I reckon we have a reasonable crop of young KPP's coming through. McGregor has been a rock at CHB & Rutten showed in the last part of the season that he should be able to hold down FB. Perrie when given a decent go gave us a decent target across CHF. However, our most improved this year was Hentschel & I'm confident he will develop into a very useful forward.

Not sure whether you have kept up with the delistings, but Carey, Smart & Burns have all retired. ie. We no longer have one of the oldest lists.

I agree we have untried coach, but we are not alone in that respect.

Spoon winning side that loses one of its best three players. 2005 will be a year to remember. Forget Brisbane going for 4 Flags in a row, you'll be going for four spoons. Only three to go. :D

I find it hilarious that Richmond supporters attempt to pay out another club for its lack of success. As I said I'd rather be competitive, make finals and lose grand finals than be perinial cellar dwellers. :D
