For what it's worth (and it's not much because I can't tip games on a week by week basis let alone a ladder 11 months out) here's my tip for the 2005 ladder
St.Kilda - Class all over the place now with vital September experience
Port Adelaide - Francou offsets Carr, Primus back. Should go close again
Brisbane Lions - Don't write them off too soon. Still too much class to drop too far
Geelong - The only thing stopping them is their amazing ability to stuff things up.
West Coast - Underrated because we don't see them in Melbourne too much. A key forward short of Top 4.
Sydney - Strong in all positions but have to free up to get into Top 4.
Fremantle - Lots of young talent to put them back in but lack a key forward.
Kangaroos - Will sneak in provided someone stands up in the ruck. Young players to get better.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Essendon - Early days but have done stuff all in trading and only fell in this year.
Melbourne - Still too brittle physically and mentally. Neitz is the key. Need a good big defender.
Collingwood - Will go better but are rebuilding. Good year if some younger guys step up.
Carlton - Improvement this year but it came from older guys who won't be any better in 2005
Western Bulldogs - More competitive. Need younger guys to lift sooner or later.
Adelaide - No key position players and an old list with an untried coach.
Richmond - Wallace will help but has a lot of work to do on a rabble in 2004.
Hawthorn - All over the place. Where's the improvement gonna come from?
