If I could sum up BigFooty with one single post, it would have to be this one.

Lol...hehe well the way i see it this guy is just a typical richmond supporter that is sure his team is going full throttle ahead..now they have their draft picks they have so much talent promise blah blah blah then to dismiss the Demons as if they are second rate just gives me the shi*s Still think the dees will win and still think Richmond will lose. Simple as that!

Prediction is that the winner will say it is a good start and the loser will shrugg and say it is only a practice match.

Choose a game and apply liberally.

...except GT, if the saints go down he'll say the better side lost ;)

It's not actually at Brisbanes home [Gabba].It's in Cairns.Brisbane rarely do well in the Wizz Fizz Cup.They save themselves for the real season.

Richmond vs Collingwood: Richmond have the new talent but the rest of their list is average. Collingwood have looked good on the track and I believe they will improve this year.
Verdict: Collingwood by 21 points.

Fremantle vs West Coast: Fremantle always take the Wizard Cup lightly, but given its a "derby" it should be a close contest. Both should do well this year but based on quality the WCE should come out winners.
Verdict: West Coast by 12 points.

Western Bulldogs vs Sydney: Sydney always take it easy at this time of year, and the Bulldogs will be looking for a bright start. They should get one, but their list still seems fragile to me.
Verdict: Bulldogs by 19 points.

Hawthorn vs St.Kilda: St.Kilda have the better list and given last year's form in the Wizard Cup, should come out on top easily. Hawthorn will show signs though.
Verdict: St.Kilda by 32 points.

Brisbane vs Melbourne: Brisbane should take it easy and given their number of injuries, Melbourne should regain their form and win. I also believe Melbourne will break the "odd-year" tradition.
Verdict: Melbourne by 25 points.

Kangaroos vs Geelong: Anywhere else and I would say Geelong would win. BUt with the Kangaroos' youngsters beginning to shine, they should get across the line in a great match.
Verdict: Kangaroos by 10 points.

Essendon vs Carlton: Essendon IMO have a pretty strong list, while Carlton has one that is serviceable but fragile. I think Essendon will want to get a good start and they should.
Verdict: Essendon by 24 points.

Adelaide vs Port Adelaide: Choco should be taking it easy, and with the Crows at near full strength and thgreat signs being shown by the likes of Meesen, Van Berlo, Reilly, Hentschel, etc they should get over the line. Just.
Verdict: Crows by 15 points, only if Choco takes it easy.

Pies v Tigers - Tigers 43 pts
Freo v West Coast - WC by 11 points
WB v Sydney - Dogs by 5 points
Hawks v St Kilda - St Kilda by 84 pts
Bris v Melb - Melbourne by 41 points
Kang v Geelong - Geelong by 60 points
Crows v Power - Power by 10 points
Blues v Dons - Blues by 3 points

- Collingwood v Richmond: Collingwood by 18 points. Tiger defence will struggle.
- West Coast v Fremantle: Fremantle by 11 points. Should be a good battle but Fremantle will prevail with a new look midfield.
- Bulldogs v Sydney: Bulldogs by 29 points. Sydney will be without skipper Stuart Maxfield as well as Barry Hall, Adam Goodes, Michael O'Loughlin, Jason Ball, Nick Davis, Leo Barry, Jason Saddington, Andrew Schauble, Jared Crouch and Paul Williams.
- St Kilda v Hawthorn: Saints by 51 points. Too strong all over the ground.
- Melbourne V Brisbane: Melbourne by 23 points. Melbourne will take it more seriously than the lions and the lions have too many injuries.
- Kangaroos v Geelong: Kangas by 12 points. The roos have indicated they will try to win the wizard cup and will go in harder than the cats.
- Carlton V Essendon: Carlton by 22 points. Without Lloyd, Essendon will struggle to kick a big enough score.
- Port Adelaide v Adelaide: Port Adelaide by 37 points. Port too strong all over the ground.

Pies v Tigers - richmond by 20 points
Freo v West Coast - west coast by 6 points
WB v Sydney - Sydney by 14 points
Hawks v St Kilda - St Kilda by 50 points
Bris v Melb -melbourne by 10 points
Kang v Geelong - Geelong by 25 points

Please!

Do you really think the Dorkers midfield is better than the Eagles?

I have heard comments like this a lot lately and I am trying to find the logic behind it. The Dorkers have a few new players in the middle and all of a sudden they are considered a powerful unit. Are people forgetting that we had the best midfield in the competition before we added Stenglein and Mitchell Morton (who would have been a top 10 draft pick)?

Regardless its still more of a home game for Brisbane than it is for Melbourne. It wont surprise me if the Dees get up as Brisbane dont take Wizard cup games seriously and that is why we shouldnt read too much into the results of the wizard cup as i wont have a huge bearing on whats going to happen when the real stuff starts

all look reasonably evenly matches with the exception of the St Kilda v Hawthorn match up. I reckon the Dogs will go OK at Telstra.
