most aps schools wouldnt be ready for the heriald sun shield becasue most teams would have players mssing becsaue there getting ready for AFL!!!!
 
Champion, who do you play for and I do agree ACC is an awsome league as I used to represent in the ACC for Basketball and Football. It's a good league

Did assumption create the game of AFL?? No. Therefore it is not the greatest school football team.

Yep so it made up such a large contigent of AFL players? So your saying the AFL is a weak league?

Guys your obviously way to young, prolly still in school, but the APS was the WORST league for a LONG LONG TIME, only since the knucklehead Principals realised that you could hand out $1m in scholarships to build a team, that you can play half decent footy. The APS was basically an AGS/ACC reserves comp.

You realise Assumption was in the APS, but left because the standard was so weak?

The fact being kids play for the AGS and the ACC for the pride of the jumper, You guys have no understanding of football spirit, and never will as long as you hand out scholarships, i realise you have good sides now, but you need to stop being so self minded about your own league.

Why does the APS side contingually thrash the AGS rep sides in the annual matches?

You have for the last 3 years, if you look into the records a bit deeper, AGS won 17 times in a row.

At to those that said it is embarrassing to play in the AGS,

Well I played Rep for APS in yr 11, and rep for AGS in yr 12, and i know which one I prefered, and im still flying the flag now.
 
i am happy to say that caulfield do not have any scholarship players. you have made some huge generalization in that statment. i know that caulfields spirit would be as high as any schol team going around. so next time u make sweeping statements, be more specific

this is an aps thread so if u poor (financally) ags boys want to talk up ur poor schools then make a thread about them.

GUYS, there r only 6 real schools in the APS competitions, and that includes the Head of the River.
They are the foundation members .... Melb. Grammar, Scotch College, Geelong Grammar, Xavier College, Wesley College and Geelong College.

The rest like Carey, Haileybury, Caulfield etc.... are "new chums".
They didn't even get admitted into the APS until the 1960s.
They have no tradition like the 6 listed above many of whom can trace the start of their campuses to the goldrush times of the 1850s, in the case of MGS and GGS, f'r instance.

This is a thread for people who wish to talk about football, not to be so arragont about what school they attend. You talk about tradition as if you are something special. Unfortunately the tradition you are starting for your future family is the "i am a ********er tradition" :thumbsdown:

To talk about APS football, and if you don't want to talk about it and the people who are associated with it, you can get ********ed.

I can't help it if, your school is not apart of the APS, the greatest school football competition in the world, start a thread about your own school instead of grasping at a hope of playing for a prestigious APS school. Loser.
 
Remember yet? 65% winning record in the Keenan Cup (ACK vs Xavier) and dominated during Xaviers "domination" of the APS.
Ummm, Xavier actually leads you guys 13-12 in Keenan Cup. But you keep telling yourself that your the best.
 
mate there is no way i would want to represent any of the aps schools coz ur all stuck up d*ck heads and none of u have any heart.

And since most of u go to these schools on scholarships then really ur parents wouldnt be paying much to go there any way.

i know tht most of the boys i play with could get scholarships at any of your aps schools but they would rather play for a school who has heart and tradition then go play for a school tht is made up of p**fters and only go there coz they didnt have any friends where they were.

Once again the APS are to scared to play real football schools coz they know they would get absolutely smashed.

yeah can the ags people go away so aps people can talk.and by the way when u takl about people not having any pride in their school. ur talking about a 1% lot of people. so whats happening with the schools. many year 10s this year

Listen champ the AGSV are 'privet' schools you clever one. Do I have to give you a lesson in life. If you are somehow trying to distance yourself from the 'more expensive' schools then good on you, it seems from your reasoning that your parents are spending that extra 5 grand you have from lower school fees on turning you in to 'bigger, stronger, tougher, better looking, chick magnet, awesome' top blokes.

The sad thing is I'm sure you have an APS school boy living next door to you. It must be something in the water over your back fence that makes him soft. ********, maybe he's not allowed to hang out with you because your a scary big AGSV boy. Perhaps it's because he was only allowed a cat when he was younger and you were allowed a dog. No, hang on, I know, it's because G.I. Joes were too 'violent' for him to play with. But actually, these aren't even the reasons you say he's a 'soft, mummy's boy', you actually say it's because his parents work hard to make a living and want the best for their child.

Listen buddy, it's amusing how you rarely see APS kids having a go at AGSV kids or public school kids. Is this some form of arrogance or superiority? No you ******** it's the fact that they don't give a ********. When you grow up and learn that it is actually you who is biased and the one with the chip on the shoulder you will live a much more fulfilling life. And hey, when that happens, go and tap your neighbour on the shoulder and invite him down to the park for a kick.....
