There is some talk about trading Whitnall for an extra pick...

Yeah I know he's slow of foot and can stuff up at times on the field.... but Whitnall should be Captain next year! He's a true blue and I would prefer him to be captain than Stephens!

No one else would come close to Captain material next year!

Plus making Whitnall captain would inspire him to stay in shape and work harder and make him more of an asset!

I agree the draft will be awesome but would rather trade another 5 players for a 2nd round pick!

Trading Big Red may seem a little crazy but the idea does hold some merit!
This years draft is said to be an absolute cracker with the likes of Murphy being at number 9 or 10 (RE. THE GREAT MOJO). If we traded Lance for a first round pick to a key position starved club we could find ourselves with another quality kid like Murphy.
We are very likely to end up with either the first or second pick in the draft, ideally first so we then recieve another at the end of the first round. From what I have read and heard the top three at this time is likely to be Hansen, Gibbs, Sellar. Thats two KPP and a f/flanker/midfielder. If we had that other first round pick from the Big Red trade we could top up with another true Mid Fielder (ie. Selwood).
Jusy another note. Did the CCF have a Function at the Glenelg FC when in Adelaide, if so, this is very interesting. Aren't Gibbs and Sellar both from Glenelg! (correct me if I,m wrong)
