2006 Draft Discussion Thread

Jetta was the surprise. Don't think he even did the tests at draft camp cause he had a cold or something.

Big,huge raps for the kid from over here in Perth.

Little worried about the home sickness thing but, Jetta is a young kid ready to play AFL.

Out of all the WA draftees,and there was about 15 I think,Leroy Jetta was rated the best of the crop along with Gumby,Leurenburger and Nathan Krakourer.

Kyle Reimers from Peel Thunder is also a great pick up for us as well. At least him and Gumby have a mate each when arriving at Windy Hill.

It felt like X-mas morning waking up and switching the net on,half asleep, click on BF....and Gumbleton is ours....U f-cking beauty

That Houli came 4th in the Shuttle Run beep test at the DC- must be quick

jetta could be that Boris type goal kicker we have needed for some time.

I think you guys did really really well. I hope Hughes puts out a few supprises cause I think Jetta, Houli and Hislop will all do really well. hopefully Hampson, Grigg are Austin are on the money

Sory Nobby but it is too top heavy. Given the run that comes from half back now days we will get blown of the park playing 4 talls .
Gumby is a great pick up and i am sure he will be a super star for us but he isnt a lock for CHF straight up. Lucas will hold his spot for the time being.

tom hislop is a gun mate, he is the best tackler and essendon should be over the moon with there pick he will play round one

Good to see some Blues supporters giving a bit of credit where its due.
Its going to be a bloody good Blues midfield also with Murphy, Gibbs, Walker and Simpson roaming the packs.

Tommy Hislop will be our best performed draftee player next season, he is ready for AFL. I watched him during the season play in the VFL and he was fantastic. Hard at it, ball winner, tackler and made the biggest impact out of the young fellas which included Thorp and Riewoldt. I know its early but i can really see him developing into a Brock Mclean like talent.
