Recruiters scouting the under-18s championships are predicting a crop as good as the famous 2001 footy draft that spawned Chris Judd, Luke Hodge and Luke Ball. But it is tipped to be a lean year for Victoria. In the expected top 30 picks, eight are from WA, five from Queensland, three or four from Tasmania and two from South Australia. "Victoria will be lucky to score one in the top 25,'' our snout says

Very Interesting read in yesterdays Herald Sun especially regarding the victorian selections compared with what mojo tipped earlier

Would have thought Hansen (potential no. 1 pick), Grigg and Everitt would go in the top 25. Houli would have to be close as well.

Hansen definitely, but it's very early and it's not totally impossible for Grigg and co to slip beyond 25. However, in reality it won't happen as the Victorian clubs would have to be wary of the 'go-home' factor.

Can any one tell me if Shuan Grigg from Ballarat or Daniel Connors from Pioneers will get drafted.

I posted on another thread that I thought Conners played well for Country against WA. Looked like a very good kick and showed great poise under pressure on a couple of occasions. I doubt he'll go early, but I'd expect him to go.

Then again, I'm not a scout...

Ben Reid may be a chance to go top 25 too. He's 193cm, moves well, and can play both ends. He did some nice things against WA, I thought. He's very lightly built, so clubs will have to show a bit of imagination in trying to predict what sort of player he'll be in three years with another 15kg on him, but they might figure they can get a v good KPP prospect with a fairly cheap pick.

I haven't heard much about Gary Moss before the weekend. He seems alot like Scott West but faster. Does he normally wrack up the possesions back in WA. What are his pro and cons? and what number is he likely to go in the draft or wehre abouts?

Yes does rack up those numbers reguarly and often kicks goals as well.

The only obvious fault he has is his size, but he'll fill out soon enough.

I must say that I thought the same thing. Big call I know, but just the way he goes about his footy reminds we of the great man.
