Great draw for Brisbane IMO, although we only get to play 2 games at the 'G. And before you start complaining, Melbourne and the kangaroos both chose to play games in Queensland.

Key points on our fixture:
  • Easter Thursday clash at the Gabba.
  • We play Carlton, Hawthorn, Adelaide, Collingwood, Sydney, Kangaroos, and Geelong twice.
  • A couple of big drawing games at the Gabba - Collingwood and Western Bulldogs (Aker).
  • Only 4 Sunday games.
Collingwood!! 15 games at the MCG, including 8 in a row from rounds 14 to 21!

And their last 10 games in Melbourne. Talk about an armchair ride.

Having said that the last three games are vs Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. Not exactly a nice run into the finals.

Still wouldnt hurt ya.
Youd have to be montys to win in again next year.

Maybe so but the AFL couldnt make it any more obvious they want us to lose. Screw this 22 round make it 15 or get more teams.

The AFL can go get ****ed...

What a disgraceful draw. We try and expand the game into other states and they repay us this way. Tools...

You sell yourselves like a cheap whore, you get treated like a cheap whore.

Good luck Tassie.

Even the AFL has realised, expanding the game into other states means moving there permanently. Anything else is a money grab.

4 games at the worst ground in the world - Telstra Dome. Only 1 game at the G.
All 3 friday night games are away from subi.

Yes yes i know we are the grand finalists... but take a look at the team we played - Swans getting yet another arm chair ride into September.

No West Coast playing in Brisbane this year

They have a big following over here, at least half the crowd for the fixture at this years' game at the 'Gabba were Eagles supporters.

Guess I won't be cheering on the boys from behind the posts at the Vulture St end next year... :(

When are we ever going to get a competition when each team play each other twice?

Collingwood and Adelaide have the two biggest memberships, and they have both been given a very good draw by the AFL... particually Collingwood.

Interesting that the new Software didn't really make the draw much fairer.

From a Port Adelaide perspective, it's probably not a bad draw from a football perspective, but from a financial perspective it's not great (two night games at home the whole season - plus one away night game against the Crows).

I like it how the last 7 rounds are randomised, as it makes the draw a lot more flexible.

Interesting that they've moved the second showdown to Saturday night, as they originally said it would be a twilight game - prehaps the AFL knows that twilight games are going to be pay-tv exclusive?

Gee Collingwood have it easy once more dont they :(
Worst Draw for Richmond and Essendon no doubt there.

Eagles clearly the worst. By a absolute country mile

Well the AFL has graciously made 1 decision easier for me.

I wanted to go and see my first AFL game at the MCG. Now I suppose the 28th of April is the day I'm going.
