Plan 1 yep I missed out. I was one of the unlucky 42% of registered members to miss out.
Plan 2 into action. Butter up a mate who has a glut of tickets from his work.
Plan 3. if that 2 fails I'll grab my bosses MCC transferable membership and line up at the crack of dawn on staurday morning.
Plan 4 mates party and get extremely drunk to dull the disapointment of not being there. (I suggest this final step to those without backup plans).

TOTALLY GUTTED - I have missed out on tickets.
This is stuffed. I wish I could have lined up for tickets. I passionate member, and now I can't go the GF. And I don't have any contacts, and can'ta afford $1500 for a scalped ticket.

Don't want to be a pain, but just be careful with Plan 3.
I'm pretty sure MCC memberships aren't transferable.
Unfortunently, I missed out on getting a ticket to the game.
While I am dissapointed that I won't be at the ground to cheer the boys on, I am still so very excited about Saturday and looking forward to having a big day watching the game at home.
Well done to everyone who was successful in getting a ticket, make lots of noise and create a real home crowd atmosphere for the boys.

If you purchase a concession ticket at ticketek when getting into the game do you need to present your concession card apon entry????

I work at the MCG.
If you have a Ticketmaster concession card, technically you need to present your concession card on request. But to be honest, it rarely happens. And especially at the Grand Final, with the amount of people they will be trying to get through the gates, I couldn't see it happening that often.
Be careful though.

Hey guys, i got 2 tickets in the ballot but i'm a bit confused about how to collect them because i dnt have a ticketmaster outlet in my town anymore.
I just called the hotline thingo but it only had an option for Port members.
We can wait to collect them later in the week in melbourne but im just not sure about how to book them if they havent already been payed for out of my account, otherwise can i just rock up to an outlet later on in the week with my membership numbers and get them or? helppp lol

Not happy. Missed out on tickets via ballot
After not missing a geelong game (in victoria) all year and then missing out on Grand Final tickets is just gutting.
Especially when half the crowd at MCG will be corporate and non competing supporters.
The MCG is meant to be the peoples ground. HA what a joke!!!

Guys, if you know ANYONE is Adelaide, see if anybody knowns a Port member who isn't coming over to buy tickets from there allocated lot. friends i have do business with a store in Port Adelaide, and the owners are members, but aren't coming across. They brought the tickets for them on there memberships.

Im trying to con my boss into sparing 2 tickets for me.. All year they have tickets for NRL and AFL and week after week they give them to people as a reward and they couldnt give a shit about sport. These tickets are just wasted.. or they dont even attempt to use them...I know its different when its the GF but still.. If i manage to get tickets another way.. Ill be looking at that Telstra Box..( in my best cranky Homer Simpson voice ).... and if its not full.............

Na my boss doesn't have a full MCC membership, it's basically like a guest transferable one that doesn't have any names on it. I just have to get there mega early to avoid disappointment.

My brother picked up his tickets today - standing room. It appears that Geelong members that received tickets have been shafted with the allocation anyway.

Lol, I did NOT cry when I realised I had missed out. My mates had all gotten tickets (well pretty much all of them) and I had to congratulate them and not be a big sook!
When Jess actually rang me last night to say she probably had a ticket for me, thats when I actually started bawling.
The only thing I'm a tad disappointed about is I wont be able to watch the game with my ol mum. She would be the first person I would love to celebrate this with, should we win. She is pretty much the reason why I follow this club in the first place. But I spoke to her just then, and shes real happy I got a ticket.

Yes I just got two tickets too. After no sleep at all last night and doing no work today I have finally scored 2 tickets via friends AFL memberships. Just have to learn their signatures if we get signature checked.
