Youre right. Both Richmond and Melbourne are sure to finish above Essendon.

Well the fact of the matter is that they are a top-4 contender with 5 matches to go, while it is unlikely that your team is going to makes the finals at all. That would make you wrong. Capiche?

Ok people time to face the music. My predictions were so crap I could probably qualify to be an AFL journo.

I didn't get one single team in the correct position and only tipped 4 of the top 8 teams right.

I even managed to tip 3 of the top 8 teams to finish bottom 3. (Sorry Pies, Hawks and Roos) Can anyone top that?

I'll forgive myself for Freo because I was blinded by my incurable bias. I'm sure I'll tip them top 4 again next year.

Well, I got one position right - Carlton in 15th.

Other than that, I tipped four bottom 8 teams to make the finals, and two of them in the top four (and one for the Premiership!). However I did tip Hawthorn to make the eight and at the start of the year, I copped a bit for that so I'm happy with that!

I’ve got 5/8 finalists. Got North, Collingwood, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne almost in their exact position. The rest is a bit of mess. Freo let me down, Port surprised me …and yes, I didn’t get Geelong right…

Flag: Freo over Bulldogs (haha then richmond will be the only team to have not made a grand final in the past 25 years)

Norm Smith: Chris Tarrant.. that'll kill me.. but more realistically Pavelich..
Brownlow: Daniel Kerr
Rising Star: Scott Pendlebury.. unless Gibbs has a brilliant first season.. Pendles preseason form so far, coupled with expected progression, has him as a shoe in for mine. Played 9 games last year so still Eligible.

The following teams have embarrassed me:

Fremantle, Bulldogs, Melbourne, Richmond, Kangaroos, Port Adelaide, Geelong

Sydney, Adelaide, collingwood, carlton, essendon, st.kilda, west coast, i was more or less on the mark

Freo again embarrassing me with the norm smith. rising star and brownlow probably I probably won't end up being too far off.

i'd love to see the percentage of people to have collingwood in the bottom 4, for probably the 2nd year in a row.

The most embarrassing ones are obviously Richmond to make the 8 and Kangaroos to get the spoon.

The best prediction was Port to make the 8 and I almost looked like a genius tipping Adelaide to miss the 8.

Was very wrong about Port and the Pies but Adelaide, Sydney, Essendon, West Coast and Hawthorn are where they belong. The rest is messed up heaps.
