I think Hawthorn will surprise everyone at the start of the season, the fade away a little at the end but still make the eight - much like the Bulldogs of 2006. It could be a marking time year for St Kilda as we have a new coach, sacking Thomas set us back for this year at least, but hopefully long-term it'll pay off. Fremantle for premiers, Melbourne to improve dramatically.

I don't think Richmond can make the eight, but then again I never expected to have them so low, I suppose someone had to go there. Maybe 08 is their year. Essendon are overrated, some think they will make the eight (I think they're around 2.75...seriously what a joke) but I think they will struggle.

Re: 2007 predictions

I made a little list of the index on wikipedia, on this site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Ben.carbonaro/2007_Predictions_Index

It's pretty much the same as bunsen burner's but it saves him the trouble of having to update his original post everytime there is a new prediction - people can edit the page themselves on wikipedia. Looks a bit neater too.

Re: 2007 predictions

Oh, and my predictions:

1. West Coast
2. Fremantle (all-WA GF)
3. St Kilda
4. Melbourne
5. Hawthorn (surprise packet)
6. Geelong
7. Bulldogs
8. Port Adelaide
--------------------
9. Sydney
10. Adelaide (horror year with injuries and structure)
11. Richmond
12. Brisbane
13. Essendon
14. Carlton
15. Kangaroos
16. Collingwood (really the spoon could go to any of those bottom four teams IMO)

Re: 2007 predictions

People say the NAB means nothing, but I guarantee a lot of you didn't have the Tiges so low before NAB Cup Rnd 1?

We are better than Lions, Hawks, Dons, Blues + Roos.

I think the Demons are the sliders and Pies are close with us as are Port. Bottom 4 is unlikely IMO and would be a HUGE disappointment.

It seems a lot of people are overrating the Hawks over an NAB Cup game!

Look for Geelong to be the blig slider. Look for West Coast to fall out of the top 4. And look for at least two of last years bottom 8 to push for the top 4.

Dan it's so obvious you hate the Eagles and love the Crows. The last 2 years apparently Adelaide should be crowned premiers in your eyes.

That is so wrong. I don't like either club, but of the two I prefer West Coast.

I just happen to have the opinion that Adelaide (as much as I dislike them) have been the best team in the AFL for both of the last two years.
