Exactly, like to see him promoted, and as for having Thornton in the side, you have to be joking, imo the guy is a dud.Would rather Bower in than Thornton.

Thornton is probably our best defender, just because he's young and played out of position doesnt make him a dud.

He's a Goer :thumbsu:

I cant say i agree with you on thornton. He's been ver solid down there for us lately and doesnt make too many errors. Compare him a few of the others like teague, sporn and livingstone and you should realise that without him our defence would be a much bigger mess.

I agree with most of the lists mentioned, however dont know how players who are yet to make their debut can be included as they are still an unproven quantity. But should the likes of Edwards and Bower develope the way we want to, no doubt will bolster our team and add some depth.

Interesting to see that no-one here has Prendergast in their '07 side. I think that the KPP-rich nature of the '06 draft and the development of blokes like Kennedy has just about lit the fuse on his career.
It'll be hard for him to get a game when he's not on the list.

why are people putting lappin in this side? i really question his commitment this year and would rather have someone with a future (especially if you are leaving out bentick & fisher). same thing coud be asked of houlahan (even though a bit younger).
we have a very good young team, especially kpp. put some more quality midfielders in and an 'enforcer' to protect our youth and things will improve very quickly.

B Carrazzo, Thornton, Hansen
HB Lappin, Whitnall, Walker
C Simpson, Murphy, Scotland
HF Fisher, Waite, Houlihan
F Kennedy, Fevola, Betts
R French, Bentick, Stevens
Int S. O'hAilpin, McLaren, Blackwell, Russell

Emg: Wiggins

I wish I could fit Wiggins into the side on a forward flank. I just couldn't find a place for him. Injuries will see to it that other players will get their chance to debut and show us what they've got.

Surely Jesse Smith deserves to be in the side, his performance in his 1 and a half years on the list has been unquestionable and if he was on the senior list he would of played all 12 regular season AFL games and no doubt would have been a rising star nominee. Continually does the hard stuff and racks up possessions at will for the bullants, i think some people at carlton forget this kid Played TAC cup when he was 15, won a best and fairest in a team which has had 85% of it drafted or rookie listed and was best on ground in their grand final win the same year. Obviously can perform on the big stage.

An injury free Harlett looks to be a promising aquisition for the blue boys, will be a revelation down there in defence.

Will be lucky to be on a list next year. Good VFL player, tough to see him getting him AFL chance.

Thornton has been playing pretty well lately, I can't see him being dumped any time soon.

Meesen sounds like a great pickup if we could get him in the psd. It was dissapointing that we didn't manage to snare a ruckman in the draft that year and there are never too many good young ones on offer.

Gradaal jesse d will be on the list next season no doubt. Pagan is a big rap for this guy,and he shall be elevated.soon, along with flint. longy and davies have been asked to go on the LTI list to make room for these two. Wait and see, got it from a good source, from inside the club. Flint may debut next game, with smith not long after.

if we got him in the PSD that would be sweet.

That would mean we wouldn't have to worry bout a ruckman in the draft.

Instead pick up a KPP with pick 2 and then stock up on midfielders with picks 18,20,36,52,68
We only need KP backmen. We have enough KP forwards to last us along time.

Could Waite actually slot into Kouta's spot. Be handy if he could.

Do we get to change the coach to so the guys are "red hot" when playing. We 're not far away playing list-wise and that last change could od the trick. Wonder if Guus Hiddink can coach Aussie Rules as well as soccer!

Livingston *Luke 04/11/82 184cm 97kg Is not up to AFL standard has had many chances and should never play for Carlton again
Prendergast *Ian 02/09/80 192cm 98kg Is not up to AFL standard good VFL player
Chambers *Callum 19/11/79 184cm 78kg Is not up to AFL standard
Sporn *Trent 23/09/82 187 85 Is not up to AFL standard
Davies *Justin 07/07/83 184 80 Is not up to AFL standard
Bannister *Jordan 31/10/82 190cm 88kg Is not up to AFL standard great VFL player
Deluca *Adrian 15/05/82 202cm 99kg Is not up to AFL standard great VFL player
Saddington *Jason 23/10/79 194 93 not what we are looking for
Longmuir *Troy 27/05/79 184 81 he is not up to it as well, good VFL player

Houlihan *Ryan21/01/82 187 84 hoping we can trade him to a club that needs him

Koutoufides *Anthony 18/01/73 191 98 He is a great player and has been one of the best and I hope he will come out and play the last games of the year as we know he can then retire before the last game so we can say goodbye the right way

As this draft is a very good one we need to get the right team balance and players that we can turn in to top players

Lappin I hope has 2 years left in him on the half back line where he was all Australian
So the players we have to build a team around are
Fev,Stevens,Whinall,Walker,Thornton, Murphy, Simpson, Kennedy, Waite, Fisher, Bentick, Russell, Bower,Edwards,Betts, Blackwell

B Carrazzo, Thornton, Hansen
HB Lappin, Waite, Walker
C Simpson, Murphy, Scotland
HF Fisher, Whitnall,Russell
F Kennedy, Fevola, Betts
R French, Bentick, Stevens
Int S. O'hAilpin,Blackwell, Edwards ,draft pick

I think Waite will be a better player running off H/B and Whitnall going back to CHF
