LATEST ON THE JUDD DEAL

Carlton are looking for a 3rd party to help them with the Chris Judd Deal. The following players have asked to leave the Carlton Football Club and persue their AFL careers elsewhere. Carlton, although hesitant, will be willing to release these players in exchange for a proven KP player, back or forward, or a top 20pick...

The players include:
Adam Bentick - the AFL's 4rd leading tackler in 2007, a young in and under hard nut with polished ball skills. Would suit any side looking for a bit of grunt and a player to supply silky outside midfielders
Ryan Houlihan - a silky finisher who will hit any forward lace out if given a yard of pace. Had a career best year in 2007 and still has a lot of footy left in him
Jordan Russell - Drafted at number 7 in the 2005 stella draft, Jordan began making an impact in the senior team last in 2007. The pacey midfielder/half back looks to be maturing and would be a great assest to teams lacking pace. Was as U18 All Australin Half back.
Adam Hartlett - Drafted in the low 20's, Adam has had an interupted AFL career to date. Injured thoughout 2006 and returning in 2007, he played his best game against Fremantle snagging 3 goals and taking 8 marks. He is a thumping kick and a player capable of playing in defence or up forward. Was an All Australian U18 CHF.

West Coast invite Melbourne into Judd trade.

West Coast today invited the Melbourne Demons into the trade to get Judd to Carlton. With the Blues lacking tall forwards and the Eagles wanting Fisher at the Eagles as part of the trade and Robertson being on the market at the Eagles the Eagles believe an offer could be struck to get Judd to his desired destination.

The Eagles will recieve Picks 3 and 20 and Fisher whilst Robertson goes to Carlton and Hansen going to Melbourne if melbourne offer something back to West Coast and Carlton giving something to Melbourne for Robertson? This is just a think of a possible trade and the Eagles want to hear the thoughts from Carlton and Melbourne regarding the possible 3-way trade.

Judd trade finally complete

After several long hours of discussions super star midfielder Chris Judd has finally joined his club of choice in Carlton in a trade which see's West Australian youngsters Scott Gumbleton and Paul Bower return home along with pick #3 in the national draft.

Eagles spokesman Peterss had this to say.

"We would like to thank the Carlton Football Club for trading with us and giving us reasonable compensation for who we beleive is the best player in the competition. Whilst we arent entirelly happy with the final deal we decided it was better to take it then lose him in the pre-season draft with no compensation at all. In Scott we get a player who was taken with a high draft pick last season and a much needed key forward and with Paul we get a good young tall backman for the future and they are both from WA."

"We would like to thank Chris Judd for everything he has given to the Eagles throughout his stay with us and we wish him all the best at his new home in carlton"
