Robert Murphy a Saint

Saint Kilda would liek to announce the trade which will send star utility Robert Murphy to Moorabin along with versatile big man Andrew McDougall for key defender Matt Maguire and James Gwilt.

A spokesman from Saint Kilda said even though it was said to see Goose go that the club could not pass up the oppurtunity to pick up a player with the skills of Robert Murphy adding that he will be a vital part of the side whether down back up forward or in the middle. It is expected that Andrew McDougall will fill the CHB role. With head honchos at St Kilda feeling the big man has a lot of promise for that role.

SHOCK DOWN AT CARLTON

"The arrival of Chris Judd has split the Carlton Football Club, with some players requesting to be moved on. Carlton although hesitant to trade the following may be left with no choice and we do want want to lose such a wealth of tallent in the PSD. All players traded for a reasonable price"

Saints announce interest in BLues

Saint Kilda's football department have announced they are interested in potentially trading foor disgruntled Blues Brad Fisher or Marc Murphy. Though they are unsure how they would be able to get the to to the club.

The Bulldogs are happy with the new signings of Matthew Maguire and James Gwilt. Maguire will help the defensive 6 with some much needed leadership and will hold down the key defensive post of CHB for many years to come. We are very excited to have James Gwilt to our defense and will provide a lot of run. We are disapionted with the loss of Robert Murphy and will be hard to replace his run through the midfield and goal kicking but are confident we have the players to step up and cover the loss. After the excitment of singing Andrew McDougal as a key forward we were disapointed with his ability to hold down a key forward position.

Farren Ray has asked to be traded back home to perth which will be consided by managment if a trade can be worked out to suit all parties.

Brad Johnson and Scott West have informed the club they want to be traded to another club because they are unhappy the direction the club is heading after Robert Murphy was traded and the lack of finals sucsess in the past few years.

The western Bulldogs would be looking for ruckmen and Key position players as compensation. This has been a very grim day in the history of the western Bulldogs but we need to remember the team is bigger than the individual and we wish Brad Johnson and Scott West well and thank them for there years of commited service.

CARLTON REPLIES TO St KILDAs CALLS

"To capture the services of players with the calibure of Mark Murphy and Brad FIsher there would need to be a fair trade involving a combination of the following players currently on the St. Kilda list:"
Sam Fisher
Brendan Goddard
Jason Gram
Leigh Montagna

Saints offer Goddard
Saint Kilda have offered utility Brendan Goddard to Calrton for midfileder Marc Murphy.

CARLTON KNOCKS BACK OFFER
"The Carlton Football Club has not accept St Kilda's offer for Marc Murphy. We see Marc as a fantastic up and coming midfielder, and are not willing to let him go for Brendan, an older player coming off a knee reconstruction. Marc was a number 1 draft choice in the 2005 National Draft at the the young age of 20, has a lot more upside than Brendan Goddard. However, if another quality player form that list or a first round draft pick be offered, Carlton will seriously consider the deal at hand"
