Eagles management wish to notify the Richmond Football Club that West Australian Mark Coughlan has been in contact with the club about wanting to be traded to the 2006 premiers. The eagles will wait for a reply from the Tigers.

Richmond management realise that Coughlan is homesick, and he wishes to be traded to the Eagles. In return, Richmond would like either a replacement midfielder, given the Eagles' huge stocks. Someone along the lines of Rosa. If not, the Tigers wish to shore up their ruck or backline stocks.

Richmond reject Coughlan deal

Michael Braun is a good player, but is nearing the end of his career. We would take Braun in a separate offer though. The Tigers formally reject this offer, and tell the Eagles to come up with a better deal involving either a younger mid (Rosa, Priddis) or a tall backman (Hunter, Graham, Staker). To help the deal go through, Richmond is prepared to give up any of their draft picks- 2, 18, 19 and 35. However, the 2nd pick will be hard to get.
