Hi guys, I imagine there would be a few threads on the fixture already but I just heard on our local news that Port are down to play Geelong in round 1 at AAMI. Is there any news of who we will be playing first up?

This is probably correct because eagles and swans were first up this year.

I believe that we will be playing Richmond in round 1 as a permanent Good Friday fixture. Could be wrong though.

Hope that this is the case. Would love to get off to a winning start every year

I think "the rule" is the premier has to travel for the rematch, just like West Coast did last year. Be rubbing salt in to the wounds to unveil the flag in front of the runner up.

This is a good point but the reporter on the news said it will be played in Adelaide for the soul reason that they want a bigger crowd. God I hope Geelong smash em again.

Lets just hope its our home game. Whats the deal with that, does the home team get all the money from the tickets sold or does the away team get a small portion also?
