Dellacqua is now on court Suzzane Lennegan (sp) which I think is the French equivilent of Vodafone Arena or Margeret Court Arena.

She is down a break against Marion Bartoli, who is 9th seed and expected to perform in front of her home fans. Chartrier (RLA?) is currently being used for the Mauresmo match, which she has just wrapped up...

Hewitt is also considered match of the day on the official site... I never know that Mahut had THAT bad a record on the dirt:eek:

Why is foxtel showing Sharapova vs Rodina when both Hewitt and Luczak are playing?

Let's be honest, who the f#$k would rather watch Hewitt or Luczak over Sharapova ??? Not only are they not as good looking but they are irrelevant in the game. Hewitt will struggle to win another tournament let alone a grand slam and Luczak ... well ... he'll struggle to make it past the 4th round of any tournament

Well I for one don't care about watching Sharapova. Disappointed she got up 8-6 in the 3rd because that could've been really amusing.

Well done to Dellacqua on another massive win in the Slams. I knew she could bea Bartoli because she is a shocking #9 seed. Now all we need is for her to crash out early at Wimbledon for her ranking to take her to where she belongs.

Sorana Cirstea up 6-0, 1-0. I'm telling you, gun in the making...

I'm still not sold on Casey. Bartoli's fat, immobile and suffering bad tendinitis... hardly a surprising result.

Since the Aus open Casey's lost to 5 players outside the top 100 in the world... her only decent win came against Vaidisova, who can barely hold a racquet atm. The next 6 months will tell a tale.

And the award for the most out of form player on the women's tour goes to 2007 Wimbledon quarter finalist Michaella Krajicek, who has now lost in the first round of her past 11 tournaments!

well done casey! she will be in the top 50 after the french open! she should make the 3rd round and will be up against it against mauresmo but she has beaten her before!

I do believe if casey losses another 10 kilos she will be a top 30 player because she has great solid groundstrokes!:thumbsu:

Agreed. She is yet to make a run of consistent good results at a few tournaments in a row. In order to gain a reputation she needs to be able to do this. One good tournament does not make a player. I do hope that she does well here. A 3rd round result or better would be seen as a success for Casey.

Foxtel is taking the world feed, which just so happens to have a plethora of Aussie commentators. Firery Stolle usually hosts.

Big pat on the back to Stosur for defeating Peer who is a decent player. Hopefully Stosur can string a few decent wins together now she has knocked out the seed. She is good enough to be in the top 20 but has not lived up to her talent, injury, virus and all not withstanding.

. All the guns are playing today due to the various rain delays, including the three Aussies left in the singles draws in Dellacqua, Hewitt and Stosur.

Dellacqua is second on court 1 against Dechy, another french woman. If she wins that game, she could play Mauresmo, though Mauresmo is down a set against Sanchez Navarro.

Hewitt is 4th to play on court 3 today against Mardy Fish. Fish was able to account for Calleri in round one and I think that if Hewitt is able to stay healthy, can account for the American.

Stosur is court 6 against a slovakian girl. She is third to play, though the first match has been completed with Tursunov easily accounting for Guillermo-Garcia Lopez 7-6 6-0 6-0. The next match on that court involves Ai Sugiyama, who if she plays at Wimbledon next month will set the record for the most consecutive grand slams contested.

Casey was done a break point at 4-4 but held on and then broke Dechy to take the first 6-4.

Nadal had a break, lost it and then got it back to take the first set also 6-4.

Chela and Verdasco are playing a very exciting match out in the back courts. Its one set each and Verdasco is up 2-0 in the third...

Can't believe Nalbandian lost after being up 2-0 then losing the next three 1-2-1, was expecting him to get through to at least the final 16. Wonder if he was carrying a injury or just was plain pathetic.

Got money in some multis on todays matches, Blake messed up a couple of them, I should of known better, yanks are terrible on clay.

Foxtel I believe only have the choice of 3 courts that they can show, or they are told what they can show. But it is not a world feed, the commentators for Foxtel are only heard here in Australia. In fact, would not surprise me if they are commentating from the studio in Australia.
