Against each other in the semi, yes, but not against their opponent in the final. Although 2 days should be enough for a fair final.

It is because they see the Ivanovic Jankovic semi as the main event so that is why it is being played later in the afternoon I am guessing.

Agreed, so the scheduling should have had the Jankovic and Ivanovic quarter finals yesterday, rather than the day before.

Of course I want Ivanovic to win the title, but I see no logic or fairness in having two of the remaining four women play 2 matches in 26 hours, while the other two play 2 matches in 54 hours. Safina could play a 3-setter and win tonight and still be f***ed for the final.

And Nicole Pratt, I cannot take anything she says seriously. She was a hack tennis player (sorry those who are offended by this, but fact is that she was) and makes stupid calls like Dementieva could be #1 and Safina is looking tired and wont perform well in the 3rd set (Safina won the 3rd set 6-0). Seriously whoever picks commentators surely they can find a former Women's player who has better insight into the game and is actually coming from a point of view as someone who played with high skill and at least had a shot at titles such as grand slams.

Could you blame her making that call, at the end of the second set a new born baby looked like it was fitter than Safina.

Those last 2-3 games were brilliant, back to the tennis that got here into a commanding lead in the second set. Into her second consecutive Slam final, and her second consecutive French Open final.

Regardless of thr result, we have a new Slam champion. But really, this is Ana's title for the taking.
