Federer is so frikking stubborn. Such an anti climax at the moment...

How can everyone know what he needs to do but him? Slice, spin, volley ... change it up.

First set over ... DE JA VU!

Too good Rafa.

By far the best on clay.

Absolute animal ... can't be beaten on the Roland Garros clay.

On an aside, how about the drivel coming out of the commentary team. Could you be any more negative about a man considered by many as the greatest player in the hisotry of the game?

I was particularly amazed at this line ... "He really needs to go away and re-assess his game". Are we talking about the same player that has won 12 grand slams, and has only been beaten by possibly the greatest clay courter in 3 French Open finals?

Laver won plenty, but never on the clay and ditto for Sampras. Lets be honest, even he never wins the, he will be the best player to have played to date.

To end, Rafa ... absolute freak!

First of all, Ana. You are amazing. You legend. The first of MANY.

And as for the Men's final, I'm sitting here in disbelief. Just when I thought my week couldn't get any better, it does. Federer won 4 games in a match, are you kidding? He was absolutely pumped and given a lesson out there. Nadal put in one of the best performances I have ever seen. How many UE's did he make? I heard he made 7. That is the most flawless display I have seen, in all my life of watching tennis. He couldn't do a thing wrong.

And lastly, the Fox Sports commentators were truly horrendous. I'm expecting them to release a book to give to Federer called, "Ways to Beat Nadal". Nadal just wins his 4th consecutive French Open and all they can talk about is what Federer needs to work on, how he mustn’t be fit ect, ect. Such unprofessional commentary. They continued to talk about what Fed needed to do, what tactics to implore, whether or not to come into net, whether to go the slice ect. Disgraceful. No credit paid to Nadal who just happened to play the best match of his life.

I just noticed Drummond's post. Well, I wasn't planning to but I'd rather be spared his fury so I'll take the opportunity to state and underline an intent not serious; I was merely amusing myself. Congratulations Rafael you are good on this surface, a just victor no doubt.

Nadal is unbeatable on clay, a great effort.

However Federer was disgraceful, he was absolutely humiliated. To be the #1 player in the world by a fair margin and win 4 games in a GS final is embarrassing. I think it's quite clear that Fed has no chance to win the French and he may have played his last French Open final.

Your kidding me right? Fed has made the last 3 French Open Finals, there has only been 1 man that has stopped him. You never know what could happen next year or the year after in terms of injuries to Rafa and I expect Roger to have another crack at the title in the next couple of years. Roger is 26 so realisitically still has a couple of years to be a strong contender att he title.

Agree about the commentators, to be honest, they were all Australian at the French Open and they suck. They provide hardly any interesting insight into matches and bore me to tears. Why can't we have the South African and English guy commentating during the French Open like they do during the Masters Series tournaments, they are brilliant.

Federer actually plays really well on clay, just so happens he is up against the best clay courter ever. A kid of his age to have not lost here is unbelievable.

No I'm not kidding. Fed will never win the French. Fed is declining and Rafa is improving. As long as Fed plays Rafa, Fed will never ever get a look in. Rafa could never play so bad that Fed wins.

Anyway, if the final next year is Fed v Djokovic, my money's on Djokovic. Fed has not won a Masters Series event this year and is heading for his worst year since becoming #1.

Rafa will win Wimbledon before Fed even comes close to winning the French.
