Don't think Barooga is a great situation generally doesn't attract large crowds.
Maybe a round robin 3 game series. One at Barooga, the east, one in the west, ???, and the final clash at Deakin ??
All Friday nigth games and maybe the first couple could be like the old Barooga round robin series and 2x 20min halves ??
Therefore clubs with larger numbers of players involved shouldn't be dis-advantaged and for the normal game, the next day, allow clubs to have 4 on bench ??

yarrawonga is reasonably central
Don't agree with a one off game at Katunga or Starthy or any other PDFL club for that matter, if you are going to have it one off it needs A: to be at a neutral ground and B: where you are going to get the biggest crowd which would be a Sunday at Deakin , but unfortunately that means we would need to have a general bye and ask our interleague reps to refrain taking the breake and going away, ,or whatever.
Needs to have the most appeal to our best players so that 80-90% of both leagues best 21-22 are playing, not 50-60 % !!!
Still like the 3 series idea and hopefully would end up with it 1 all heading into the last game at Deakin !!
Clubs don't own players, the GV not so long ago use to play all its games on a Sunday to allow players to represent their league on the Saturday and then play on the Sunday for their club, and allowed 4 on the bench, don't think anybody was ever harmed by it, the PDFL use to also play in a round robin series where you may play 2 x 20min halves for 5 or so games during one day.The 3 games series would be hard. Cannt see many clubs wanting their stars playing 3 extra rep games for the year. I dont agree with playing interleague footy and club footy on the same weekend. It is to hard on the body. 1 game over in shep on a friday night before the general bye so that if people want to go away for the weekend they can. The game shouldnt be played at a ground just to cut down on travel. Im sure that if people are selected to play interleague footy the travel wont be an issue.

We are talking about the best players in the comp, playing interleague footy and playing a lesser role in those games than they would playing for there normal club, totally disagree that its hard on the body, plenty have represented their club, league, state, schoolboys and school sides over a short time frame, when they are undeveloped men !!
Agree with all the points you make , guess all depends significantly on whether that player is contracted and if so may be able to put into consideration when making contractual arrangements and probably makes it more important to know what the interleague set-up is as early as possible.I agree clubs dont own players but they may have a financial interest in that player. How can a player be expected to perform at his best for his club when on the day before he played a rep game. Its just a matter of opinions i suppose. It has nothing to do with getting injured in the game, if that happens it happens. My concern is that one of the better players in the team wont be at his best because he played a game the day before.
