Had Beams and Hannebery side by side before this year. Beams improvement has been remarkable and would go number 1 or 2 at this stage. Others have shown far more than him so far. Hannebery is incredibly inconsistent at the moment, his best is top 5 easily, at his worst he's just average. Hannebery has had 29 or more disposals in 9 or 10 games I think it was in his career, and we've won every one. His main problem is how hard he runs, he has the least amount of TOG in our mids, yet covers the most distance. Which effects his kicking quite a bit. Wouldn't go top 10 at this stage.

So..... don't think I went too badly. Far better than the people ridiculing this post though.

think naitanui has got to be one of the most overated players ,do not know how people can put him 1st

1st beams even though has missed most this year i'd be picking him number 1
2nd motlop
3rd hannebry
4th rockliff
5th sloane
6th zac clarke
7th hartlett
8th rich
9th hill
10th naitunui

just missed out ziebell , zaharakis , shuey, walters

great draft

Watch Zac play during the finals and then we can come back to this. Has improved a lot the last few rounds, and is now our main ruckman in front of Sandilands.

Nic nat is in a complete other league, AA last year and the best ruckman in the comp. People have short memories.

interesting, no room for a 200cm ruck forward that has speed and agility,

wonder how long it will take for the bigfooty groupthinkers to catch on....

Good player, role player but no game breaker like the majority of names being spoken about in this thread

Going to have a real indepth look at this draft. Redoing who has become the best players is always a tough call, some have gone into better sides, others have been asked to play bigger roles in lesser sides.

No one can really argue that Nic Nat has become the best player from this draft.

Im going to go a little different here;

1. Nic Nat - best player, AA already, will only get better.
2. Daniel Hannebury - Can anyone argue with this? Kid won a rising star, was close to a norm smith meda and is now dominating games in an already dominant midfield.
3. Dayne Beams - Already a B&F winner alongside some of the biggest names in the AFL. Can do it anywhere and is ahead of most. The forgotten man because he is missing this year?
4. Steele Sidebottom - Another who was close to a Norm Smith at such a young age. Was producing at such a young age and is still getting better.
5. Rory Sloane - Could have gone a number of players but Sloane has really produced at a high level more than a lot more of these kids.
6. David Zaharakis - A B&F winner in a very bleak year for the Bombers. Has really come on in leaps and bounds this year and could rise up further by years end IMO.
7. Stephen Hill - People sometimes forget how slight this kid was when he went to Fremantle.
8. Daniel Rich - Can't argue with the man child who simply dominated in his first year and won the rising star. Has begun to impact games again and could rise higher if he continues to improve.
9. Jack Redden - Another who has impressed a lot. If he was in MElbourne he would be spoken about higher IMO.
10. Luke Shuey - Should be higher but he was hardly on the park in his first two years. What he has done in the past two years has been simply irresistable though.
11. Jack Ziebell - Has become a real bull for the Kangaroos and is improving with every outing. If it weren't for that leg he would be entrenched in the top 10.
12. Tom Rockliff - B&F winner already and a dominant figure for the Lions last year.
13. Michael Hurley - HAs been thrust into a position he was not a natural at. Been ok but a wrist injury has really hampered the player we all wanted him to become.
14. Hayden Ballantyne - We can all argue al we want how annoying he is and how much of a s*** he is but nobody can argue with 14 touches a game, 1.5 goals a game and 3 tackles a game over his career. Very good stats for a small forward IMO.
15. Jack Watts - People can say what they want, he was super last year. Will never become the player Melbourne wanted him to but has found his niche across half back IMO.
16. Jeff Garlett - Gun. Could become one of the best small forwards in the comp if he found his mojo from a couple of years ago that saw him close to Rising Star favoritism.
17. Liam Shiels - Feel he is a role player with the Hawks but a very good role player none the less.
18. Luke Breust - Really enjoy Breust's playing style. Any midfielder/forward who averages (close to) 2 goals a game is a gun in my eyes. Could be higher but has really only come into his own in the past 2 seasons.

Lets try something a little different and go with that

Personally feel that Sloane and Hill are a touch too high. But gee that list certainly has some talent. Great draft.

Is Nic NAt still being rated off potential?

Because as great as his highlight real is, he has not been consistent from game to game let alone quarter to quarter in games.

He should take over the nick Flash from Davey as in Flash' in and out of games.

Dockers SMASHED this draft.

3. Stephen Hill
21. Hayden Ballantyne
24. Nick Suban
37. Zac Clarke
53. Michael Walters

RD. Clancee Pearce
RD. Matt De Boer

All EASILY in our best 22. Zac Clarke is really starting to develop into something pretty exciting.

Very good draft for the Dockers, must say it's about time they got something right other then Pavlich pick.
