imo any tall who breaks into the top 15 20 odd is going along really well.

in fairness to the talls its only now that they should be starting to find some consitency have enough preseasons behind them to compete etc.

in fairness i reckon the judging of any draft inside 6 yrs should be broken down to smalls, mediums, and talls.

NikNat is dumb at one, of the players mentioned I would only want Sloane ahead of Watts tbh... enjoy hating. We didnt want to risk a Western Australia wanting to go back home/ or we werent lookng for a ruckman at the time.

Part of the reason he is not at a successful club is because you drafted players like Watts and not NicNat. WCE did finish 2nd last that year.

Nic Nat is AA quality however. You will as Aish this year. But Jamar is 30 and it is thin after him.

I rate watts potentially higher than those two, I rate Sloane the highest in terms of mids in that draft though, simply an opinion i guess, but either way, niknat certainly wouldnt have been our choice, we were after forwards. At the time and potentially still, we made the right choice

But they have proven they are elite by both making a AA team. Watts is starting a long way behind and I would be amazed if he ever reached that level let alone go past them.

Gee you would have been dirty if Melbourne accepted our 2nd round draft pick last year. That is about his value now.

Funny you said that Santa, the table is actually height adjusted. By the time the 200cm players reach 25 years old, they'll have no adjustment. This is to compensate their later development and structural roles.

How are these generated? Only 1 2008 draftee was All-Australian and he slides to 4th on your list.

I daresay, that Hannebery's back half of the year was very average and only moderate in the finals. He was killing it in the front half. Rockliff and Sidebottom were strong throughout. I'm surprised that Hannebery didn't get higher (I hoped he would).

Am I the only one who thinks Hurley is a little bit overrated?

He's tremendously skillful and has a lot of upside, but doesn't kick nearly as many goals as he should in a dominant team playing as a key foward.

After another disappointing season this is spot on. A lot of players from this draft are in front of him. Could not make a case for him to be in the top 10.

You're talking about current list needs not list needs in 2008. If we had picked Nic Nat instead of Watts our drafting would look vastly different.

You are delusional. I don't even think any other Melbourne supporters would agree with you.

You didnt have great ruckmen at the time...so using guys like Spencer and Gawn is invalid.
