Draft Review 2008 - Re-do the 2008 draft

We missed the finals by a bees dick. Our forward line is what's lacking.

Only GWS, Saints and Dogs had more points kicked against them. Agree your forward line needs work but the backline ain't overly strong!

12th was a fitting result as where your club is at.

Were you under a rock for round 23?
Brisbane needed to win against Geelong to make the finals, and they needed Port to beat Carlton.

Brisbane lost by 1 point (had a chance to win it with 10 secs left, but missed). Port were smashing Carlton, they had a 40ish point lead, Carlton came back in the last quarter and got infront, Port had a chance in the last minute to reclaim the lead but also missed.

In the end, all that came between us and the finals were 2 shanked kicks.

If you're talking about Essendon, they didn't deserve to be there anyway. They wouldn't of got that far without the drugs

Weak - you named a bloke that retired and a half back flanker. Maloney is injury prone and there is no depth. Not many midfields would want to swap with Brisbane.

Who's the half back flanker?

We had plenty of midfield depth: Rocky, Black, Rich, Redden, Moloney, Zorko, Hanley, Mayes, Raines, Polkinghorn, Lester, Karnezis, Polec, Beams, O'brien and Crisp.

Mate, Stats are stats they mean nothing if he had no effect on the result

We won 5 games out of the last 8 (probably should have been 6/8 if the umpire didn't screw us vs Geelong in round 23) and as stated earlier he had 19 Brownlow votes in those 8 games... I'm pretty sure he influenced the result...
