So you are saying that we should not excuse 2013 for Beams because he was injured and should take account of all the games he missed when assessing him. Harsh but fair I guess.

On the Brownlow voting Rockliff was the 6th best player in the competition. Sounds like he had a pretty fair year. Each to their own I guess.
So Woewodin was better than Carey, Hird and Voss when he won the Brownlow? Woey was number 1 in the comp? This is how you rank players - via umpires?

Brownlow votes - got love those umps.

Was that the game where the Cats had stitched their spot up in the top 4 and played a bruise free game as they had a massive one the next week? We got a similar game v Pies the next day. Pretty games with players getting plenty of it.

Nope, they were still fighting freo for positions within the top 4.

rockliff may of averaged 2-3 more disposals earlier in there careers in 2010/11, but beams was kicking 20 goals more each season which is more valuable than 2-3 disposals a game. But the last 2 seasons and a half beams has been getting more disposal inside and out and scoring goals.

Rockliff may not get many goals, but he creates a lot of them

Okay. Rockliff finished 5th in the Brownlow this year. Beams in 2012 had 19 points, Rockliff this year had 21, despite these so called 'excuses'.

Your arguments are getting weaker and weaker.
Rockliff has no one else to steal votes of him, Beams had Swan, Pendlebury and Sidebottom who were all australians and sidebottom was considered stiff not getting a nomination. Swan had about 25 votes, pendlebury 15 And sidebottom/cloke almost 10 votes.
So you gotta go easy on beams when your considering he had team mates get these numbers.
Tom Rockliff had no other team mate get over 10 votes (next best hanley and leuenberger at 8 votes)

Pretty good effort then to get 21 votes in a team where the next best had 8 votes.

Does that mean that Rockliff is better because he had no help from anyone else, and Beams had support around him to help him accumulate? Can be taken both ways.

Beams had one good year, Rockliff had 5.
every year beams has played hes been good, so that makes it 5 good years. Rockliff has had 4 good years.

So does beams, he also kicks many of his own.

Yeah, great effort to get 21 brownlow votes no matter who you play for

No it was the game where they were fighting for second spot on the table and a home final.

yeah it can be, but Reddan, Rich and hanley all find the footy

So when the games starts and the a score is 46-0 they thought Bris was a must win game? Lol - kidding yourself. They had 2nd stitched up when Freo rested half their side.

You think they would of risked a home final just because they thought Freo would lose (against a bottom 4 team)?

And what if Freo pulled off a 2nd half comeback? You really think Geelong would rely on another team when a home final is on the line?

Yes even Geelong coach Chris Scott admitted they weren't focused on the game because they knew the score in the saints-freo game.
