It's all good to discuss who is better, but everyone's basically been repeating themselves over the last 5 or so pages. Just agree to disagree and leave it at that. Unless of course the mods have started up a thread over on the polls board or are planning to.

Yeah, he was saying Brisbane just outplayed the Cats and they had no answers to counter it. Lucky for him the Cats got up from some dubious umpiring in the last minute of play.

It's all on topic.its a redo the draft thread and everyone bar Brisbane supporters are arguing that beams should be taken before Rockliff.
 
I think the majority of Lions supporters realise that Beams has had a better year than any of Rockliffs. I think the real issue is that Beams one good year is used as though it is his norm. Rocky has been producing great results since his 2nd year and is improving each year and some posters on here are saying that Rocky isn't no where near Beams which is total BS. I rate Rocky as 2nd mid in this draft just behind Beams. When Rocky plays in a decent side and is playing finals more people will take notice of the Lions and realise that they have been severely under rating Rocky.
 
An over-obsession with stats means that the discussion goes around in circles, or goes off-topic.

Give Beams and Rockliff identical stats in all categories - And I can assure you that one is a better player.

Beams averages this year stack up to his 2012 stats though, even this year based on averages he was one of the very elite players in the comp, 30 disposals-6+clearances-almost a goal a game, factor in his foots skills and his contested abilities and he's a level above Rockliff.

That would work if he was suspended and was recovering from handsring issues. This has got to be the stupidest post on bigfooty, rockliff has only had 40 disposals once in his career. I doubt he coukd average 15 more disposals than he usually does.

Beams injured his quad two days before Round 1 - It's the same as Essendon supporters saying that Zaharakis had a restricted pre-season, because he injured his quad a few days before EFC's first NAB Cup game.

Unless Beams has an injury I am unaware of, he did a full pre-season or close enough as did Zaharakis.
