You got it wrong with Hurley and Carlisle. I am one for playing Carlisle forward and Hurley in defence. Carlisle can prove to be a better forward than Hurley, but Hurley is clearly a better defender than Carlisle.
I am in the camp that Carlisle' form is a touch over-rated. Even when carlisle took the match saving mark first time against Carlton, this only happened because Hooker subtly stopped Casboult from attacking the high ball.
As a defender its clear - Hurley is a fair way ahead of Carlisle.
Would love to see Hurley as KPB. He does seem to chop off or get to an incoming ball quicker than those around him when down back, and definitely has the attitude of a hard-nosed defender. Plus he's not much chop in the forward line. Carlisle as a forward I also think would work well.
