Well warra finally got what they wanted. Unfortunately they were able to buy a premiership. Hopefully it backfires on them as it did to south when they did the same thing although to a lesser degree a few years back and look where they are now? They were the best team all year and as hated as they are, they would have had to have been ultra stiff to lose it. Hopefully they have a few players walk out and as they have not looked after there youth in the past three years, will have to keep spending to stay on top. Only dropping the one game for the year they were the best side from start to finish. Lorne should be happy i think. To get from where they were at the start of the year to where they finished i think is a good effort. Alvie blooded many youngsters this year who will be the future of the club. May be a couple of years off premiership wise but many positives are to be takin out of this year. Birre were consistent throughout the year and did a good job to get to where they finished this year as the supporters in particular have done it tough in recent years. Forrest and Apollo Bay showed glimpses of good form but were never going to challenge the top couple. South, Eagles, otway and simpson all battled and cannot see any drastic improvement from these sides next year.

In reserves the most dominant side throughout the year won and won well. Dan Casey said during the year that they have 13 reserves guys who would play seniors at any other club and while that is garbage, it shows the strength of irrewarras reserves.

In seventeens alvie were the best side again and were able to win. Without sounding too arrogant, the grand final was a mismatch and otway should never have made it. Irrewarra and Lorne were both better but they were unable to win when it mattered. Otway are bad losers also led by there coach..who refused to shake the hand of alvies coach after the game. A bit has been made about alvie getting liam mcguane and ben lynch back for the grand final when they have played seniors all year but the reality is that otway fielded there best side and so did alvie. I dont think it would have mattered anyway to be honest.
