Wow.
Why would Laidely even consider trading him? Bizzare.
Can see Port going for him. Perhaps involving Pick 4.

There is not a player on the market that we haven't been linked with.

27 y.o and not overly tall or quick. Had a good career with footy smarts and sound skills but no from me (ditto with Prismall).

We have some good ball winners at the club and must get some skilled quicks.

Would 31 be enough though? Dees tried to re-sign him, started with 2yrs offered up 3. 3rd in their B&F. They would want a good deal.

Winger/Half Forward who can take a grab and kick goals. Would be very handy at Stkilda and worth #31 IMO... possibly a few years to old at around 28 though... handy player

IMO I dont think Melbourne would except #31. Would be looking for a selection inside #25. Close but no cigar guys!

With Port putting there first round draft picks on the table and the possibility of this being a superdraft should we perhaps put together a package to get the most out of it?

I know we have said that Dal and Kozzi are not available but. What about

Dal santo or Kozzi + Pick 13 for Pick 4 and 22

Yes squizzy.. I suppose another question to ask is do certain players need a change of scenery before deciding what position players we need (apart from line busting mids)?..

Does anyone think that Chips can go into the midfield on a permanent basis? Or for that matter, Dal Santo into the forward line?

■Richmond and St Kilda have shown mild interest in Melbourne ruckman Mark Jamar.
Oh no. Stay away! Better off keeping Rix.

Looks like you're looking for that 2nd/3rd forward. Any idea what's being offered?

The club has said picks 13 & 31 are off the table. Have no idea what we could offer. Although that being said I wouldn't be surprised to see pick 31 offered. Not sure if that would be enough especially with other clubs vying for his services ss well. We'll be generous and chuck in fiora as a sweetner.;):thumbsu:

I'd like to see Chips get Hamill's old job.

Tim Boyle? Surely not! We'll take him for a 60+ pick but that's about all I'd be happy with. And if we trade ANYTHING for Jamar I'll neck myself

This has me in two minds. I'd probably rather keep Kosi and 13. Kosi was a number 2, remember, and only a cointoss kept him from being number 1. He has the ability and will stand up this year imo. If it were Dal though I'd be more keen. Armitage can cover Dal (let's face it, Armitage needs the Seniors gametime anyway). 7 foot forward/ruckmen don't grow on trees, just have to be patient.

No love for Boyle??
Getting Boyle would allow Kosi into the Ruck on a longer basis. Which imo is the best position for him even though he may not be the best at it. Getting Kosi into the game is important as he can take a game by the scruff of the neck and blow it apart. With the bulldogs keen on Boyle as well as Sydney his price may be pushed up along with the fact he's still contracted and very much required player.

Don't forget that the gold coast will be wanting to build their team.
I don't expect them to trade for too many players next year ( because they won't be playing yet ), but the following year I would expect them to be spending a lot of their picks on players. So the picks for trade may still be there.

From Wikipedia
"his leisurely demeanour and playing style limit his level of physical presence in contests"
Not that this is the end of the world, but we have too much of this already.

And the first time Kosi and Boyle fly in the forward line together, one of them will be out for 10 weeks. Agree with Tassie - can't see any action here unless late pick involved.

FWIW on SEN this morning Patrick Smith had mentioned that Collingwood had gone cold on Cousins and said that we are now the favourites to secure his services. Greg Denham said exactly the same last week too. Make of it what you will.

Edit - Fair enough on Boyle. What i've seen from him hasn't been that bad. Although i haven't seen alot.
