Andy Murray should finish off Nadal, then I would expect him to down Federer in 4 sets. He beat him confortably at Dubai and the win against Del Potro was enough to convince me that he is the real deal.

Haven't been here in a while.....what are people's thoughts on the RODDICK loss the other day ???

Guy's wasting HIS and all of us's time !!!!!
Should be re-named SCARECROW....." If i only had a BRAIN !!!! "

Got up at 6am to watch the Tennis on Channel 9.

But of course the TODAY Show which was not even due to be on is on. What a disgrace!!!!!!!!

They better show the Mens final live tomorrow.

Why the hell isn't the Nadal/Murray match on?! Channel 9 suck!
On a semi-related note, I'd like to stab Karl Stefanovic with a pencil.

Looking at this result, you can't help but think how much they've slowed down the courts at Wimby. Nadal runs into his first tough opponent and loses on this fast surface but goes all the way on grass.

Phau, De Heart, Troicki, Querrey, Fish, all unseeded . . .

He most definitely is the real deal but assuming he will automatically beat Federer is another thing entirely. Roger federer has been intitially sick and consequently out of form this year but he remains the most talented player on the circuit and if well and in form - as he appears to be - he is warm favourite to beat anyone on a court he excels on.
Murray is a genuine top 5 player and capable of beating anyone but Federer is favourite.

Federer will win, Murray hasn't reached a SF before, let alone a final, thus he will be very fatigued. Particularly because of the Del Potro match.

Murray has a 2-1 record against Federer, and more importantly will go into the match with the knowledge that he belongs amongst the big 3 (soon to become big 4) after recording his first victory against Nadal. Do I expect Murray to win, no I don't because it is his first Grand Slam Final, however I would tend to favour his chances ahead of Federer's due to the fact I have seen Federer and Murray play 3 times each during the Open, and Murray has been the more impressive player of the two.

will channel nine show the womens' final? it's due to start in about 25 mins. all i'm getting at the moment is some static known as 'mornings with kerri-anne.'

I presume Federer can't get the #1 ranking back if he wins?

Anyone care to predict what would need to happen in the near future for him to get it back?

Given that Federer won last year, he wont get any more rankings points, and as Rafa improved he will gain points...

At least I think that is how it works...

looks like the nadal haters have crawled out of their dark hole they were hiding all year  FFS he has played 84 matches this year, more than anyone. He simply ran out of gas in this tournament. He was way below par against Murray and he played shit throughout the tournament. He mentioned when he got here that he was not feeling well and he is extremely tired.Still did extremely well to take set out of Murray.I have never seen Nadal gasping for oxygen after a rally, today i saw that and i understood that he has got nothing left in his tank. Not saying Murray didnt deserve it, he played one hell of a match, but IMO Nadal was lucky to win against Querrey, let alone Muzza

Overlooking the fact that Canadian TMS is a pretty fast surface as well (not as fast as NY but still) and he has no problems with Murray there, they played one hell of a match, but hey, dont let the facts bother you :thumbsdown:

Id give my right arm for Roger to be number one again instead of that spanish mutant. Murray is in for it - cant see him winning - grand slam final nerves will probably get to him against THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME. GO ROGER!

Ugh. 5:30 rise for me then. If C9 don't put it on live in Perth, I'll ****ing march over to their headquarters and shit on the receptionist's desk.

Ch9 Vic will be showing the game from 7.30 to 9.30, do they think Fed's gonna take it out in 3 or something? Will they continue after 9.30 if it's still going on?
