Oh well, it was wrong. I'll live

You where half right. He is from the NT and played 1 game for NT in the national champs last year.
Has been in Melbourne for school and playing with the Cannons.

Re: Draft Picks 10, 24, 26 & 33

Does anyone know when they start training?

They have induction next week so we will probably see them on the track the following week.

Do you know what takes place in this induction Ant?

A lot of stuff from the AFLPA , a few courses abuot behavior including gambling , violence against women etc What the coaches expect from them , info on how the training schedule is set up and a general meet and greet.

Re: Draft Picks 10, 24, 26 & 33

I thought it could be a bit of fun in the lead up to this week's 2010 draft to go over our old "wish lists" from 2009.
My reasonably uneducated summary of who I want:

#10: Talia
#24: Christensen
#26: Bastinac
#33: Colyer

So we'd get a classy KPP; a ball magnet midfielder; smart, skilled & hard running midfielder; and an evasive small forward/midfielder.

I don't know a whole lot other than what I've read on a few websites and seen on youtube, but from what I understand I'd be stoked with those results.
- I wanted a "classy KPP"; while I still think Talia could be decent, I think I got what I was after in Carlisle.
- Glad we didn't get Christensen
- Happy with my call of Bastinac, but I'd take Melksham over him.
- Called Colyer!

Re: Draft Picks 10, 24, 26 & 33

Sorry but the gig is up for you. I did the search and found that you had posts in various areas of big footy on every weekend from the 5th of April right through until the Champ series started and then during the champ series.
All the posts had the same IP adress and came from the same network area center so there is no possible way you could have seen any of the games you claimed to have seen or traveled anywhere to see them.

So i would recommend anyone who want's to know about the draftee's simply go straight to bombersno1 source which is afldraftinfo.com or do a google search :D

By the way afldraftinfo is a bloody good siite. They have some outstanding draft profiles there and plenty of footage.:thumbsu:

This post.

This post.

Duckworth

This is old news and a funny exchange at the time.

Doesnt alter the fact that Bombers No 1 does lots of reading and watching of videos - and has something to offer the board - although his opinion can be a touch strident.

Remember the Boak Thread.

It was full of posts from people giving opinions but had never seen him play outside of Power vs Essendon games. Gee - Would have thought that Bombers No 1 opinions on potential draftees - is backed up with more knowledge than what occurred in the Boak Thread.

I wasn't posting this to have a go at bombersno1. Someone dug up this thread, and I was reading through and remembered clearly that particular post from Ant555. It explains why some on here don't necessarily give her opinion the credit it would otherwise be due.

I have absolutely no problems with people reading/researching/watching youtube and having a robust discussion. Pretending to have more authority on the matter and then belligerently arguing other posters down, however, doesn't impress me.

Duckworth - Wasn't having a go at you.

I did mention that at times Bombers No 1 - has a strident opinion.

Big Footy is full of people who have strong opinions - But at least you can have a sensible discussion with Bombers No 1 - and at times a laugh.

And better than having MODS having pot shots at Posters.

After all, we all love EFC - even though we may show it in different ways.

Re: Draft Picks 10, 24, 26 & 33

Haha get off your high horse, yacco.

50% of your posts are shit stirring remarks about either Ben, RIG or me.

I find it a bit rich that because I disagree with bombersno1 so often people assume I'm bullying her. And by people, I'm almost entirely referring to you.

Anyway whatever, I'm happy to talk about our club if you're happy to stop dredging up non-existent issues and stirring the pot.

Sound good to you?

I wasn't referring to Bombers No 1 or you in my last post -

And i disagree with Bombers No 1 as much you.

As Voltaire said

' I may disagree with your opinion, but I fully support your right to give an opinion'.

Anyway is Atley, Prestia or Gorringe for Pick 8.;)

Re: Draft Picks 10, 24, 26 & 33

You can imagine Mckenna and CLayton purposely doing a number on us and taking Atley at 7.

It will happen, bookmark it.

All good mate.

A touch of cynicism about GC's objective in the ND - Ultimately, GC will pick players who are the best fit for their clubs.

GC will pick Atley at No 7 - if he is rated that high.

Clubs usually run through a mock draft - And are usually aware of all possible permutations.

My three for pick 8

- Atley
- Smedts
- Smith
