Bloody oath! A nice 4 day weekend on the Gold Coast with some Saturday night footy would be ideal!
And we get to see our team play in Geelong, which is fine by me as it's only a 10-minute drive:thumbsu:

No Hawks until Round 21, WTF.

Only play once in Adelaide sucks. Once again we don't play Port in Melbourne. Oh well, bring it on.

I agree, My best mates a port fan and lives in adelaide and I only get one trip there next season. No port in melb again, sucks!

Hawks, bring them on, Im feeling like another upset!

Happy with the draw considering the teams we play twice, only 4 away interstate games and 2 are to Subi where we won comfortably this year. Geelong + Hawks once each is great, we also get Essendon, Collingwood, Carlton and Hawks at home which should be good for crowds. No excuses next year.

Man that's f****** :thumbsd:

How can Richmond not play in Brisbane for 3 years ?? What the eff are they doing down @ AFL house? The rest of the draw is rigged, how hard is it to put down Richmond in Brisbane as a definite.

Tiges @ the Gabba is a great night for all and the AFL keeps reaming us in hte arse ...
My sentiments exactly. Lived in Qld 2 years and since then Tigers haven't played at Gabba and looks like they wont in the near future What a load of BS. Cararra just doesn't have any atmosphere but I will be there

The thing I am happy about is the fact we rarely play at the same time as Port/Crows meaning I'll be able to watch us on TV live unlike a lot of '08.

7 of our last 8 matches are at the G. With the the 8th being at Subi :thumbsu:

Great Run home
Rounds 15-21 are all at the G! :thumbsu:

But then it is ruined with West Coast at Subi on in Rnd 22 :thumbsd:
(that doesn't matter though because we should have already qualified for the finals well before then ;))

It's not a draw, it's a fix... ture.
So if we do make the finals we'll play our first week coming back from Perth. Nice. :thumbsd:
I am ****ing sick of hosting the Dogs at their home ground but at least we don't double up with St Kilda as well. I think Port have hosted us twice as many times as us them now. Plus we only get 11 MCG games (Pies get 14) and we have EIGHT Sunday games. Where's the equity AFL?
I also think we made a blue surrendering the Easter Thursday game. Collingwood and Geelong will own it now.

Don't worry West Coast will suck just as hard next year and we'll down them by 70 odd points again, Subi really suits our game style.

I'm pissed about playing the Swans at the SCG. That's another guaranteed loss next year even if the Swans spoon.

6 interstate games and once again none in brisbane WTF?

collingwood once again get only 4 interstate games - we get 6. the teams we play twice is okay - but its still an average draw at best compared to other sides

We only have 5 interstate games and one of them is on neutral ground. WE get the bottom 2 teams twice and the 2 best teams only once, should be very happy with the draw.

Only one twilight game.

Less Sunday games.

Some Friday night games.

:thumbsd: :thumbsd:
Less games at the MCG.

8 six day breaks is freakin' ridiculous.

OUR "home" game @ Jihad against a real home tenant there.

Back to back six day break interstate trips in some cases is going to kill us late in games when our legs start to struggle.

why do carlton get a home game in rnd 22 when we placed higher then them and they already have enough bloody friday games... we should have got more or them less.....

Anyone know the spread of our FTA/F**tel games? We had something ridiculous like 7 or 8 in a row not on FTA this season.

Richmond
CEO Steven Wright:
"Overall we are quite comfortable with the 2009 AFL fixture.
"We believe the draw gives our fans the best opportunity to watch blockbuster matches at the MCG against the likes of Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon and Hawthorn.

"The club is looking forward to maintaining its involvement in marquee games in 2009, including the season opener against Carlton, the Dreamtime at the 'G match against Essendon, Easter Monday against the Western Bulldogs and on ANZAC day against North Melbourne.

"We are also delighted to have the opportunity to expand the Richmond brand by playing a home game on the Gold Coast, while not sacrificing a home game at the MCG for our members.
"Tiger fans will be able to watch more games on free to air television in 2009, with 16 games on channel 10 or seven, and six on Foxtel."

There was a link to a site that showed whcih games were on FTA and which were on FOx, but it seems to have disappeared.

You beauty. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

I counted 14 probably would be the case this morning and was pleased, 16 is an excellent result.
