Location
Adelaide
AFL Club
Fremantle
Other Teams
OKC, Sturt, Cardinals
Delist:
Thornton
Browne

Retire:
M. Carr
McManus
Bell (immediately, isnt interested)

Trade if not then piss off:
Murphy
Tarrant
Campbell

Thats all i can think of from the top of my head but there is many more no doubt.

We should delist you Wizard 9.

The boys are having a crack. Bell is playing well. Thornton has done an ok job for a hard task.

At the very least you could wait for the game to finish.

Delist/retire:
Webster - too many injuries
Browne - same as above
Dunn - as above
Head - We have a truckload of half flankers
Campbell - only a depth player
M Carr - mature age with up and down performances
McManus - times up

Trade:
Murphy for a second round pick or otherwise keep
Tarrant for a first round pick (not likely) otherwise keep

Without the trades or rookie promotions that would give us 4 national, 1 pre season and 2 rookie draft picks.

I'll second that. Skill wise it was a diabolical first half, but the effort from the team today was 1000 x better than last week.

You have been a good poster in the past, wizard_9, but you're pretty poor value at the moment. How about you give credit where it's due?

Who deserves credit?? Palmer, Ibbotson for sure. Cant think of too many more from today.

I know, why don't they change the song to Aquas barbie girl while they are at it. And get rid of that dreaded purple and make it a nice shade of pink! It should match your big girls blouse!

Always interested in what Freo has to offer.

This is exactly why we shouldn't trade anymore. Let's face it, we aren't very good at it and I'm sick of the amount of crap we cop about it.

If we do have to trade any players from now on it should be purely for draft picks - not for other teams' rejects. And our draft picks should be off limits - especially the first 3 rounds.

Let's build our team properly through the draft from now on.

:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Nothing much more to say on that except spot on.

Agreed. We just have to (phased re-) build ;) from within. The days of selling the cow for some magic beans are hopefully long behind us.

Remember the Murphy-for-Farren Ray threads. The "Daniel Wells will look good in purple" stuff. Enough already!

Unless it's a young WA bloke wanting to come home, and he meets our needs (Andrew Swallow anyone?) then we shouldn't go anywhere near any trades. It's picks we need. Early ones.

Hope I'm not contradicting myself there:o

Joel Corey?

I dont think you can ever say never, but I agree we need to be a helluva less keen to trade and that may well be helped by CC's and now Schwabby's departure. To be fair I feel FFC have had the pressure from the media and WAFC to win a Cup and have weakened and chased the easy route.

I think we need to keep our picks and rebuild it that way. If a player expresses their desire and passion to play for Freo we need to assess whether they're suitable and value cost wise and draft picks.

Find another team or get a clue about the club.

Bell is more than interested. He makes the effort to come down from Gero, there was no one forcing him to.

Scotty too Hotty is a brilliant player when on song, I think his health issues some time slow him down. Although he is unorthodox looking when running off the back lines, he's a very important player and one of the integral parts of "no name defence" when they were taking the footy world by storm.

Macca will probably pull the pin himself, but he is still going as well as ever. Heart and soul of the club.

Murphy should have been our preferred option to develop, but he's a great kick of the footy and a decent mark. Needs some better input from the coaching staff in regards to his run up for the kick, he has some issues there. Posture is a problem as it affects his marking ability at times with some shoulder impingment issues. That's a job for the strength and conditioning staff.

Kiwi has great ability. Leave hum on the lust for dupth.

Taz should be playing on the flank or half back IMO. Clever user of the footy but his kicking issues always have me baffled why the club has this mindset of "Tarrant is a forward, no ifs no buts". Run him out of defence or something else. I think his calf problems go some way to explaining his poor follow through with the toes pointing up too early into the kick.

Oh so easy to sit in front of your monitor and go "yaadda delist these hacks" without providing some kind of positive input or solutions.

I really don't wish to stir shit.

And although my 'source' seems reputable (high up in the WAFC) it could very well be total bullshit, but if what I have heard is true (mentioned on here by other posters and articles etc) then we should really be weighing up what we are going to get out of a Robbie Warnock trade.

I've got a pretty good idea what we will get... owned.

Anyone think we can turn Tarrant into a full back? He's got the height and strength, plus he's played forward his whole AFL career so he might be decent. As I said, we need to try crazy things and write off 2008 so we can go for the flag in 2009.

Retire: McManus, Bell, Farmer?, Black?
Delist: Webster, M Carr, Browne, Dunn, Thornton, Campbell (if Murphy stays)
Trade (Picks): Schammer, Murphy, Mundy, Warnock (if he wants to go home)

I would not trade all of the players suggested, but if we could upgrade our picks or receive good picks in exchange then we should jump at it. These are the only players on our list with any trade value that we should consider at this stage.

Gotta disagree on these. Thornton is a big liability - I really don't see what others or the coaches see in him. Gets pushed around by the big guys and too slow on the ground for the small guys. Suposed to give rebound off half back through the middle but kicking can be diabolical, eg flour bag I saw on Saturday, and ball handling is out of control.

No intensity on the ground, McLeod just waltzed through him about 20m out directly in front and kicked a sealer. He got nowhere near it, hadn't even bent over!

Whatever stops him doing weights/pre-season is unfortunate but we can't carry guys on the list like this.

Murphy - run up??, shoulders?? WTF! - all someone elses problem. How about adding lacking confidence and cracking a sad last year because Taz got recruited and he had to play WAFL.:thumbsd: All crap excuses for the fact he is not a good enough footballer at the top level. Good on the lead but can't do much more than that, kicking has also now dropped off.
