Re: Media Thread

I suppose it's a compliment when another team compares themselves to your list :

"Such was the vitriolic supporter feedback to Carlton selecting three mid-sized footballers in last week's national draft that Blues recruiting manager Wayne Hughes had to explain his case to the club's board.

But Hughes pointed out the Blues still had eight players of 195cm or taller compared with seven on St Kilda's list."

I'd have a few queries though:

Who are the eight on Carlton's list? (I can only count 6).

OK to exclude the 208cm McGrath and 199cm Gaertner?

What does being 195cm have to do with replacing a key forward when Fevola is 191cm???

"I saw (Riewoldt) do a running session this morning and he's in really good shape," St Kilda football manager Greg Hutchison said yesterday.

In an excellent sign for club, every St Kilda player bar recruit Jesse Smith is already in running sessions under the care of renowned fitness guru David Misson.

Brendon Goddard is also back in full training, despite breaking his collarbone in the Grand Final.

St Kilda will again fly to the Gold Coast for an intensive training camp in the week before Christmas.

Heyy Piss up at Fev's place.

I heard BJ on SEN last night. It was all pretty jokey ( typical BJ ) He said the coaches had been all over the GF footage, but hadn't seen it and said he didn't want to. "pretend it didn't happen "

He also called Winmar "Nicky" , poor kid is going to be pretty pissed off, though its probably not as bad as if your name is Richard and people start calling you Dick or Dicky.

Hang on, wait, so... we have to SPEND money... to MAKE money...?

Huh... well, who would have thought that was effective financial practice for a football club...?

Next you'll tell me having a decent fitness and conditioning staff will stop players having their lives crippled by unnecessary injuries!

Sam Stosur/Nick Riewoldt babies would be machines.
He's watching her play. They're just friends, but still. They would be huge.

Just have to make sure they're boys rather than the usual daughters our champions seem to have
