Well from what I've seen so far this preseason he has played a much tighter checking role in defence, which means he wasnt running off his man racking up lots of touches and marks. Do you think that will continue in the season proper, or will he be same as always?

Come on, think about it.

We lose a loose defender to the midfield (Goddard)
We gain a tight defender back from injury (Maguire)

If anything, I see Fisher playing more loose ala Goddard whilst Goose (Maguire) takes the KPP.

Sh*t forgot about Maguire lol. He's like Rivers for us. It's been so long since he was out there you forget they exist sometimes :S
Cheers for reminding me. Might have to rejig the backline now...

He was also in my team for abit but I feel theres more secure options at his price. I do feel his spot isnt secure.
Dalgunziel has I think pushed him to a fringe player.
Add Rich to the mix good chance he will be fighting for a spot on the Interchange bench.

Are you talking about Selwood or Power? Because suggesting Power's spot in the side isn't secure is ridiculous.

Apparently Liam Anthony is having a BIG game!!!

He did! I just got back from the game so Im not sure of the stats but I have already posted this in another thread but Laidley loved him at 3 quarter time.

Llyod played up the ground 2nd half in Lucas old role. Just thought I'd throw that in, he got plenty of it, once again im not sure of the stats.

Don't think he'll play forward much, if at all this year TBH. With Lucas, Lloyd, Neagle and Gumbleton, i wouldn't think they'd need another tall forward.

Sounds good in theory, but he'll definitely play forward at some stages throughout the year. That is a given. As people have said previously, expect his scores to be up and down like a yo-yo. Will be quite inconsistant.

anyone know if abletts price will drop if he averages 115-120 due to the magic number?

Rough estimations - using MN estimates that reflect the MN changes/movements of 2008.

Im not the best at this sort of thing, but here s a few rough projections:

Ave 105: Lost around 75k by round 9-10
Ave 110: Lose around 50k by round 9-10
Ave 115: Lose around 30k by round 9-10
Ave 120: Lose around 10k by round 9-10

Note: Numbers ive used are the average. By that i mean, for each round in the first example, i have him scoring 105, when in reality it may more be like 75, 135, 105... which would lead to bigger price fluctuations. Also worth noting, MN will probably change differently this year due to higher rookie prices (for first round draftees etc).

If someone else has better estimations, feel free to post - hope this helps.

Yeh fair call, but i think we can expect to get him fairly cheap at some point.

Saint KFC - I dont know. When was the last time two first year rookies played in the same team for first 10 rounds in a row?

Not sure, would have to look into it.

There is a first for everything though ;)

FWIW, Anthony is a mature-aged recruit. He turns 22 in August.

Similar recruit to Ballantyne at Freo.
