Nathan Krakeour racked up 27 touches in today's practice game. May be one to think about considering his new role across the backline. Davenport managed 30 touches while Marlon Motlop gathered 25.

Where did Marlon play? I heard Choco the other day say something about him being played in that HBF spot like Purgoyne and Krakeour.

Was FF down tonight or just me?

Porps, Have you been drinking? You know the booze doesnt mix with yr medication.

Will Laidley play him? Most likely my 8th mid (versing Davenport who was named as Ports best).

$300 Short of my perfect team... I hate that.

Tarkyn Lockyer

Tarkyn has almost been a lock in many teams, but is he really worth it. He scored 149 against an inexperienced side in a nab cup game. I don't see why anything will change from last year. I reakon he will average 75-85. Will he score enough to be considered a keeper?

i'm going to take a punt on krakouer over houlihan. If he plays on the HBF like he has been doing, he will rack it up. Hopefully he will keep his spot i the team for round one, even if p burgoyne returns.

why not put houlihan in the backs too?

Re gumbleton - hard to get a read on how successful the structure has been when lucas is out of sorts, and mcveigh and stanton havent been delivering to them...

Krakouer over Lucas and Skipworth who are both definate best 22 starters?

I can't see Peter Burgoyne leaving his HB role for Krakouer, maybe when he retires, but where do you play Peter Burgoyne in 2009 with an already full midfield?

Krak also has a history of soft tissue injuries.

Agreed Daz, Krak is in the Drummond / Chappy mould as far as injuries go. Huge risk IMO especially given the low end value in the forwards with Skippy / Higgins / Lucas and co.

BTW, Higgins chopped it up again yesterday at Rouse Hill. Heaps of the pill and played in the midfield.

krak racked it up
Even I could get 20 or so touches playing in Port's backline, if he didn't then that would be concerning. Having played on Krak quite a few times I can tell you he has 0 defensive element to his game, does anyone remember Stokes running rampage in the 2nd half on him last week?
Alot of question marks over his head as to whether he is in their 22 and if he is as to what role, because if he plays as a crumbing forward which is every chance as his natural game is best suited to it, then you are better off starting another rookie and pocketing the cash
