Definitely jump on the Hentschel train.:thumbsu:

All the way to the LTI list.
I wont be touching him, He still seems scared to get injured and avoids alot of situations. I dont see him scoring hugely and I also see him as a huge injury risk after such a massive problem. I also see him getting nursed back.

Prefer my chances with a rookie, hes nothing more than a cashcow. I only need 6-7 rounds out of my cashcow.

However should he show some strong fitness and some hardball contest prior to Rd 1 i'll reconsider.

The reason Hentschel takes my fancy and believe he is worth the risk is that he is pretty much guaranteed games. He is in the Crows best 22 (from what i can see) and at that price, while he may not be the best of scorer, the safety of knowing he will play is something i think that is good to know and is more i can say for any others at his price. He has also looked alright, not scared to go into packs and leap, sounded like he played pretty well against the Eagles also.

I am not so sure he is. I think tippett is infront, and Gill/Walker/Hentschel are competing for the last 2 spots. I reckon Hentschel would be at the end of the list at the moment.

If he is not ahead of Gill it is a screaming disgrace.

HF: Porplyzia Hentschel Vince/Resting midfielder
FF: Douglas Tippett Walker

I'd be fairly surprised if we didn't go forward like that. To me, Gill is a depth player that should only get games when there are injuries on the cards. He can't kick straight and goes missing for very, very extended periods.

As far as nursing Hentschel back, he played some SANFL reserves last year, so he has had a full summer. He does look a bit unsure at the moment but the only way to get over that is to keep playing. I'd imagine he will slot straight in.

Gill has a far better tank and pace which is important as the games get faster.

Yeah nothing better to prepare you for the AFL season than playing SANFL reserves :)

Gill provides very little. His tank has done nothing for him this pre-season as he has barely touched the ball.

He came back through the reserves after 2 years out of the game. What I was trying to imply that he hasn't played 0 football. He played some football last year, done the full pre-season and looked decent in our games so far.

Don't know if anyone has opened up this can of worms yet, but i thought i would bring it up!

A.BROWNE??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Has always showed signs of being a potential DT star, but hasn't had the body to back it up.
Cheap and could make a handy 6th back which can be upgraded at a later date.

Thoughts??

I think he has too many question marks around him ;)

Is Gram injured? He was in nearly every DT mock team here over summer, and was said to be getting more of a run through the middle. Going through the recently posted teams he isnt listed in any of them. Did he get injured or has everyone just gone off him in a hurry?

Craig will give Trent Potential every chance, so I think he will get a consistent run of games likely from round 1 barring some further impediment to his training, or a shocking form slump. We didn't retain Hentschel on the list for noting when we had a bevy of other tall forwards to pick from.

Anyone?

Whats the concern over Simon Goodwin? Havent seen him mentioned AT ALL.

Age? Injury? Change of role?

All three?
I'd say both age and change of role. Less midfield time, will be playing on the flanks, and his output is decreasing due to age and the younger crows coming through. At his price there are alot better buys I think.

Yeh seemed everyone just jumped off gram. Some are probably secretly happy of this, although I don't see a massive rise.

My backline is pretty much cemented. However, I have Scotland atm and will end up with him or Lockyer.

Thoughts? Can either go back to averaging over 100? I know Scotland had Surgery, so he has played like no matches yet.

Gram twinged a hammy and probably had a light 1-2 weeks training. Hamstring twinges send fear as they can often lead to something prolonged and recurring (see chapman). Played last week though, and should be up again this week.

Just wondering with Deledio, a lot of teams are going to have him by the looks of things..but I'm just a bit concerned whether he'll have as good a year as he did last year, or better. With cousins and eventually cotchin in the side, is he likely to spend more time purely in the fwd line? therefore probably reducing his output. Thoughts?

He was a lock in my team, then I did some research and saw he averaged 98! That is an impressive average, but I don't have faith in him averaging that again, even at best 102 avg imo. Still in my team for now, but how can he improve on a 98ppg average!?

by scoring 99 or more everygame perhaps?

You can see it other ways, a stronger midfield could mean better supply and more goals, ball in forward 50 more often etc

SHould i edit it back or keep it?
